hey dudes just thought id post as ive took the mx5 out with the top down today for the first time since last summer and i gotta say i love it. spec is imported in 2006 1.6 s special with viscous LSD and its got 109000kms on the clock, not a bit of rust anywhere, and it runs like a beaut suprisingly nippy and handlings just unreal. apart from the rock hard suspension (getting meisters soon), its a peach to drive on the road. infact every time i drive it i cant believe it cost 1500quid. anyone else been enjoying their cars on this nice day weve had?

id have these for my mx5, but last time i had these wheels i had a nightmare fitting them over big brakes and i need to upgrade the brakes on my car to the 1.8sports

lol i honestly have never heard anything like this in my life. yes its a bit naughty at worst but big deal... my advice to the buyer would be to get over it. if this has upset you this badly that you feel you had to report it to ebay and make a huge fuss about it then you have a hard life ahead. people could do far worse things across you than this...

Stay well clear of sva imports. They are dodgy as hell. They never put up mileage of their cars and they are seriously unfriendly and overly defensive. The cars they have look good in the pics but i wouldnt buy nothing from there.

just checking here, as you seem to have bought it from the 'not so friendly unless you have a wad of cash' guys at SVA imports...did he sell it to you as a facelift/98 spec? also has it got proof of when it was imported and the odometer reading when it was imported? assuming it is all sound, then it certainly looks tidy.

so that means shes gotta keep quiet and not mention anything? you make me laugh its a forum she can put what she wants. if someone has a bad experience with anyone they can write about it if they want to. if someone has a great reputation it dont necessarily mean they are all that great. i found this out with tm developments.

is it really worth risking a rare hard to replace 4wd box or messing with it just to get a slightly longer 1st gear though? i can understand wanting to get LSD in it but i really think this is just asking for trouble

dunno mate he took me for a spin in it and it was fine. hes very careful and respected the car massively as you need to driving one of these missiles on the road. but he said he just tickled it ever so slightly before he had straightened up and the back end broke loose and thats the result lol

hey guys im putting this on here, tgtt, and mx5nutz as a reminder for us all. my work colleague's partner recently bought himself a new toy - an ariel atom 260 (non-supercharged). and despite being a very good driver who is used to very quick cars, he lost control and the car has been heavily damaged. unsure of whether it will be a write off or repairable. i know its an atom and a different league to a starlet, but its still a reminder to us all to be careful in the greasy conditions as he lost control despite barely even touching the throttle at the time. luckily all involved onl
