  1. How did the car feel/respond when it came on? Seems like fuelcut what are your mods?
  2. looks nice, gets on my nerves when the aux output is on the front looks untidy lol
  3. The original supplied stuff doesn't last long anyway
  4. Where could I get a small tub from?
  5. My rarb does this, i used all the supplied grease when water gets to it it just dries out and starts making noise again havent found any grease that's waterproof.
  6. One of my future DIY mods, did alot of research on this dont use the stuff that you have to squeeze inside it leaves air gaps so the mount wont last long look at the hardness rating of the stuff your putting into it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shore_durometer) use liquid urethane, clean the mount and pour it in have to leave it to set for a couple of days tho something like 70-75 hardness would be ideal, if its too much drill some holes in the mount to weaken it a little, also when filling a mount use a good mount not one thats totally fallen apart (even if it does fail it wil get you home) something like this is best http://int.rsdelivers.com/product/itw-devc...gm/0692867.aspx
  7. how did you get caught?
  8. yup, the only suspension mod atm........ALK has been sitting in the garage for about a year should really get that on lol
  9. RARB = check im learning everyday, just though id post up for some help on how it might have happened and how i can prevent it thanks for your input tho mate ^ ^ whether it was my fault or not...its NEVER happened before to this extent till i changed the rear wheels. On the wider slightly worn bridgestone playz it stepped out a tad in the wet and came back with abit of lock...not this time i lost all grip and control. tbh the problem must have been aggravated by the rear wheels and the fact its not lowered
  10. Exactly like me ^ Ive yet to check the roundabout tho
  11. Really apreciate the comments guys!! The back tyres are brand new goodyears they were on the car when I got it, dry stored since I went alloys..got a nail in one of the alloys and I put the steelies back on. I've had it come out on me before but steering into it usually sorts It I even delibratly did it on the way back from the gym so I know I can control it.....it's just never happened to that extent. I know i didn't power down because the engine was off when I came to a standstill so I must have turned In/out and braked? Also there is bias on the brakes, was told this on Monday after the MOT so I ordered some new pads,discs,shoes,cylinders...Gonna give it a good bleed thru so that should be sorted I've ordered some kumho ecsta Ku31s which shld have been here!!
  12. Defo get onto camskill n find out where the new rubber is!! See if I can afford to lower it too
  13. 185/55r14 on the front and stock biscuits on the back
  14. As above was on my way home from work just now, 7.30ish and as I just got onto a roundabout iirc bellow 30 before I knew it I'd done a 180* spin...facing oncomming traffic!!! Car was dead and I was in shock. Started the car after hearing some old man shouting at me I did a 3 point turn and headed home...the outcome could have been ALOT WORSE Reasons why I think this happened 13" wheels on the back with 14" on the front (waiting on camskill to deliver the new set) Poor handling of the car Driver error? Not sure what I could have done to help? Cars not lowered, would lowering help? be carefull guys it happened out of nowhere wasn't speeding or on full lock no aggressive steering whatsoever just goes to show these little cars can suprise you out of no where!
  15. tbh not many people decat with the standard exhaust its usually rusty and basically shite if possible, go for a larger diameter cat-back and get a section with flanges put in to replace the cat.
  16. not all new cars have A/C (some dont even have front leccy windows) space at the front is prefect im 6ft 1 and its more than enough for me....rear passenger space is shocking tho. tbh seems as if you`ve made you decision, compare the starlet to a car of its age not a newer one
  17. what pisses you off? it is a 13 yr old car....cant have too many expectations
  18. Double post
  19. I'd say go for a pioneer, all the alpine ones I've seen there buttons either have fallen out/wear away or the writing rubs off eventually...I've been rocking a freebie pioneer one for two years the face off gets thrown about alot etc and it's still going strong.
  20. What will it increase to? Is it possible for you to do a small gb before the price increase?
  21. That's just silly mate, go to andrew page or any motorfactor and ask for NTK ones (division of NGK) i got my N/A one For £50 odd and it came with the correct connector bam!! Job done there's really no need to bend over for a toyota one (most likely a denso unit made in japan exaclty the same as NTK)
  22. I say we meet at krispy k 1) everyone can find it 2) petrol/air/water across the road to fill up and check tyre pressure if need be 3) asdas across the other way can all go in and stock up what we couldn't raid from home 4) motorways nearby (depending on what route we take) Just a thought, saves everyone fannying around and delaying things meaning we can all set off at once together
  23. Id save up....seriously at some point (although this point varies) they will burst requiring you to get new shocks
  24. is there a thread? details??
  25. Im hating the stock set-up sooo bad atm just clocked over 90k having been on some random road trips and its shocking to say the least....the car literally bounces over bumps, doesnt hold any corners (totally wrong for my style of driving) sends every bump into the car Really need to sort it out asap....tempted to go for coilovers or konis i personally wouldnt throw lowering springs on normal shocks but thats what most people do...springs avaliable for the EP are tein pi apex espelir TRD RSR eibach (TTE springs)
