it could be many things as all the las have suggested. but all the wheel bearings ive had go have made a clicking/clonking noise first the clonking will stop.. then the humming will start. humming louder the faster you go. its only an idea mate, but make sure everythings tight in the engine bay / suspension wise first... if the noise has started after fitting something new recheck it all.. only thing i can suggest mate without hearing it first hand im afraid.

semi is fine to use mate. fully is really only a MUST if you have a brand new engine.. i prefer the best oil i can get though.. seeing as thats the lubricant for the internals. alot of people will say fully syn isnt good for our age engines.. but i prefer fully. something like castrol semi syn is fine etc.. im saying 3.5 because im sure i get a bit left over from a 4litre can. dont hold it against me though if its more lol

CV joint will knock louder on full lock either direction. wheel bearing can knock as very first signs of being fecked. it will soon turn into humming, which is when you need to stop driving it and get it changed otherwise the humming turns into squeeking and major play in the wheel. if its a quiet knocking, as if something is stck in the tyre, but isnt...knocking faster the higher the speed you travel, its more than likely the bearing. if so it will knock only when your going in a straight line, as unless your doing 50+ round a corner you wont hear it. get underneath, check the cv joints /

as in brand of oil? or weight ? off the top of my head i think its about 3.5 litres of oil from an empty sump.. i "think" i run 10-40 in mine.. fully syn. millers is the only stuff i use mate. best out there in my opinion

dejavu gee ;) id have said, you need UBER problems for it to fail on emissions with either gt or glanza mate. and if they say you dont have a catalyst fitted, bend him over and rape him..

i would be up for this in a month time lmao... god damn cash flow crisis

gring the bolts off. punch the center of the bolts, and drill them out. use 3 long bolts, spring washers decat side, plain washers exhaust side. no more sodding about

i didnt realise you had to take a feed from the map sensor line.. but it should be easy enough. i dont quite see why you have to take a feed from it though it only controlls boost. do you know which wire the map sensor feed is mate ? if you do just cut the line, solder the avcr feed into it, and rejoin and insulate. if your not sure on the wire im sure i could hunt out which one it is for you mate. just never heard of a boost controller needing anything more than an earth, ground,(illumination maybe and warning light output maybe)

lmao @ mikey jay ! damn right matey, thats the only way of communication some of the scum around here know. if id have known joz, i would have hired him out as a ninja hitman good stuff kelly. glad its running fine, your lucky. did you have to have the engine flushed through ? or just top it up with unleaded and run the diesel mix out ? -
neither the gt turbo, or glanza v need a catalyst for mot. seeing as there is no uk equivalant they cant do the test on a cat. it comes under standard idle emissions mate. so unless your running crazy fuel pressure. it will pass which is nice

im running 3bar with my hybrid ct9. i had it running @ 2.7bar with my standard ct9b on previously with my mods.
-
just an emanage by itself ? could be anywhere from 5bhp to 30bhp all dependng on things
-
wahey, is from around my area
-
Unless you know exactly what mods the ecu was tuned for, forget it. As great as JAM and Blitz access ecu's are, i would choose the emanage over one unless i knew what they were mapped on. if you can find one thats been tuned for basically your mods, go for one and they will be amazing. if not, stick to an emanage etc. something you can finetune to your car

how much are they out of interest ?
-
its all personal preference.end of the day, its your car, make it look how you want... i my self love the euro look. hence why i eurod my old saxo, widearches and 13" schmidt rims before they got wrecked have to say they are good quality kits by the look. i think i could quite easily come to love a starbo with one of them kits on if i saw it in the flesh
