have they actually started producing them yet in japan ?
-
yeah it looks classy. i like it too. strange seeing a jap car euro styled though lol
-
on any car if your changing the belt, change the rest as well. its not worth changing the belt then a bearing fails later on. complete kit matey.
-
more damn fine service from dave ;)
-
cant find it for the life of me on google mate. try www.envyperformance.com www.strikeengine.com/japanese_body_kits.html ;) www.newstylemotorsport.com/toyota/toyota_starlet.php along with the bodywork links in one of the other thread topics matey. theres quite a few about you just have to look.. what ever you do, dont abuse the poor starbo though ;)
-
yepp i agree, ngk are pretty damned good. make sure you buy the proper heat range plugs though ;)
-
the way you have to look at it is, ct9s boost earlier no matter what people say about the td's. td's will give overall more topend though. depending on the type of ct9 hybrid they can boost just as high as a td04. my ct9 will be more than capable of 1.3bar which i wont be going near untill i have forged the internals and had a rebuild. 1bar will be more then anough to see off a few things on the strip for now ;)

Just got the beejezus scared outta me!

if youve had it up on jacks recently it could just be the spring relocating itself. if it only makes the sound once then forget about it.if you hear it again check all the parts youve changed as like streetracer said, could be a nut working loose and flying odd under the car ;) -
when you say smoke, how was it smoking. on boost? puffs of smoke? on idle when warm ? prepare for a full tutorial on how to remove your ct9's when i get my hybrid in a few weeks

yepp i agree with gazzy boy. 3rd pic for sure! looks smart chopped ;)
-
350z lookalike ;) wrong.
-
they look like schmidt alloys bro http://www.german-wheels.com/ euro slag 13's slammed on coilovers only belong on vw's and french cars though ;)

my view is the standard rad is perfectly fine even for a moderately tuned engine. people only really change rads if they need the extra room that the half sized rads give for larger turbos and manifold setups.. save the cash and spend it on something else that youll notice the difference. in my opinion obviously ;) does look shiny though!
-
what ever you do, dont go for HKS plugs, because there prone to cracking off under heat stress of a hard, spirited drive!! ;)
-
hence why i said why would you blow all that cash on a td04 setup if your not going to be boosting to about a bar ;) otherwise you may as well push the ct9 to about a bar with the fuelling and timing modifications ;) i was just stating the rough idea on what youd need for such a setup.. if your going anything more than a hybrid ct9/12/20 setup you really want to invest in forgies, no point in skimping and risking even more cash in the longrun. if it were me, id get a rebuild so you have a fresh engine, get forged internals, run an external wastegate for more precise control and peakho

just shift the no.pllate over to the side and chop the centre out like mine. youll need to modify where the elbows come out unerneath, cut the bumper away slightly. but line the bumper up when its fitted and its common sense. just follow the pictures for the instructions mate.. piece of piss.. youll know if its wrong because it wont boost ;)

depending on the exhaust flange, you may need a td04 downpipe. the wepr manifold will foul on the standard rad, so they sell half sized ones, or you can use a different brand smaller rad. you will need, td04 manifold td04 turbo unit td04 downpipe obviously gasket set actuator if its not allready on the unit fuel pump fuel pressure reg larger injectors oil lines water lines fmic!! relocation pipe for air filter as well as rolling road time, and also an ecu (either chip, piggy back or standalone monster) im sure I've probably missed soething off the list, but that was quickly off top of my

i see your from braintree .. if your after mega power go to specialised engine services in braintree... rob and dave, they know there shizzle.they have a mega range of parts for the starbos, and can also do any type of engine work. they have built some of the fastest starbos in the uk. i sometimes go to southend, but generally speakin theres alot of owners from around here. me, sicaln, gaz, dan_gt , adam to name a few.when my poor glanza is alive again we can arrange a meet man -
what so in otherwords , if it looked totally different ?
-
dont forget the the rad hoses to the engine are made a set way, so if you shift the rad over it wont line up with the hoses ! why do you want to move the rad for a cold air feed ? just route the air feed around the rad
-
highly doubt that mate
-
ive been running my stainless manifold and decat for quite a while and its non braced too. hasnt cracked as of yet, if it does ill just re-weld it. not a big problem lol
-
part numbers are dfferent as allready stated. which means the housings are ct9 stock unit but itll probably have a different comp wheel and/or impellor ? seeing as it is designed for a diesel
-
lol its not a glanza? i just saw the nasty kit and the glanza stickers, thought oh my god and closed the page lol. didnt take a close examination at it lol eyes hurt too much
