Sad times, but I know where you're coming from. Mine started out with the intentions of just a respray... quite a few grand down the line and its still not resprayed lol.
Most oil temp and oil pressure gauges come with the senders buddy. Think I saw a sandwhich plate in the classified section last night, if not ebay ones do the job, you may just need some ptfe around the thread on the sender, just to be safe
Hey Bud, Yea thats mine . I bought it from a chap in Frome back last may. Its only been back on the road a few months since I bought it, I think the parcel shelf and spare wheel are just about the only original parts left on it tbh lol. When did you own it mate? Would be cool to know the history of the car. PM me bud
I'd of had him stuffed and stuck him on ebay, 'Life size bin laden cuddly toy, one off, genuine item, few bullet holes and regular wear but have been sewn up, good as new'. Could of wiped out their nations debt
They do, but its more a residue than ponding. If your seals are gone then theres likely to be a significant amount of oil, you could almost pour it out of my fmic when my ct9 went many moons ago.
It would be the same mate, pull off your hotside pipe and see if theres oil in it bud. If you're getting white and blue smoke and your compression test is showing the same across all four cylinders, its likely your oil seals buddy.
Sounds like the oil seals on your turbo personally mate; have you got a front mount? If so, pull off the hot side pipe where it goes in to the fmic and see if theres oil in it.
For the cost of having it done buddy, it would probably be cheaper to just buy a fmic kit... just a thought. Although its not to my taste, fair play for thinking outside the box.
