michael. stop fucking crying about it and sell it if you want to, what does it matter what a load of blokes on an internet forum think? if you want to sell it, sell it, we aren't your fucking parents.
-
you dont have an alarm after spending all that on your car? ahem, sorry, but isn't that asking for trouble? also i have a spare driver's side door if you need it, it aint the same colour obviously but its yours for free if you want it.
-
rick, they aren't cheap on fuel. they do about 12mpg. lols. 3 speed autos aint the most fuel efficient. and the cherry turbo engines do bolt in, but the gearboxes dont, you have to chop the floorpan to shreds ^^;
-
fuck you. i'll map it with my calculator. casio mate, it'll pwnz de fcon. also, plenty of people can map it, its de ubs. who said it had to be 'official'... ;) also, pissing about? ahem, we've been on there in other guises for quite some time, although i don't usually bid on EP parts, only when im bored and want to piss people off.

yes, pop that hose off and the thermostat is sat there staring at you, just detach it.
-
why didnt you call me and tell me this? prick. also mate, you do know there's an OS Giken 5E clutch on the auctions? the one thats been relisted a million times, same guy with that HKS Fcon I've which is now quite cheap. think its up for 400quid, which for a full kit aint too bad. how used it is, i don't know. also fuck you for not calling me.

lamco ftw. they make alot of OEM gauge stuff, they look very subtle and 'OEM' spec, not particularly fancy, but i've never seen one thats lost calibration. boost is easy, as you have it in your face, you wont be using 43mm gauges such as oil etc up that close as it'd be rediculous, plus you have to strain to see what the hells going on, unless you mark it with a coloured pen or something, and then you ruin your lovely new gauge. 52mm+ for clarity, anything smaller is purely bling or for DIN use. i know, i've tried em all ;d starlets are fucking shit for gauge installations anyway, the only

so by specific, its a strip of metal with two holes drilled into it? ^^; who are you.........SIMON? ;D lolz. also fuck you.

hks actuator first, as your stock actuator will be the weak link even if you bought the most expensive EBC on the market. sort that out then you could use something like a dawes device as a form of manual boost control, but definately sort the actuator out first.
-
you dont want to get near to 0, no, you want to be as close to -1.0 as possible, i.e keeping your foot off the throttle, basically. it doesn't show or do anything, it just moves. its for bling more than anything, i threw a few of these away about a year ago as i couldnt give them away, they may be handy if you have illuminated gauges or LED's in your dash etc and wanted this to match.

that wont include anything to make it stop or go, as above, 250bhp in a stock glanza is, well, terrifying. not to mention the fact that the engine wont take that. the ecu to do that on its own (safely and to a high quality) would be that sort of money. if you can do it, then fair play to you, but i'll bet my car that you wont

you may aswell upgrade the mounts if you're going to that power, you'd be hard pushed to run that on standard internals anyway so whilst the engines out then you may aswell do the mounts.

how do starlet/glanza turbos compare to cliosports?
ecksjay replied to eggy790's topic in Lifestyle General
power wise, obviously the starlet can be taken much further. handling wise, a standard clio would crap all over even a heavily modified starlet, in the same capable hands. lightly modded, the clio will absolutely embarass it. they aren't comparable in handling terms, the clio is one of the best handling chassis' in existence, excelled only by the integra's. this has been discussed before though, so no need for another thread. -
ep91 specific? i.e two hoses specific? ;] lols. also mate, in the dash? on the left where the passenger airbag would be? i'll buy you a telescope too then ;d also get some pics of your carbon up you fucking slut.
-
yes, althought used C's items are sold as the full unit ofcourse, i've sourced a few. Personally, i prefer the C's shifter, its more solid and is actually slightly shorter, but its personal preference really.

46mm, mate, have you ever used small gauges? they're absolutely useless. its like, even if you wanted to know what they were reading, you'd have no idea because you'd have to get an inch away from it to know what it says, and at that point you would have driven into a tree anyway. fun, once, until you die. ^; although, on the opposite end of the scale, the 120mm boost gauge that was in my celica was a bit....silly... i think it blocked the windscreen. entirely.

pics of pais plz.

i almost bought that when i saw it advertised, good work mate. Out of curiosity, who did you buy it through?
-
Fishy, at the end of the day, you know very little, except for a few 'rumours' that you've heard (which you already disproved yourself). Spending ALOT of money on a starlet, fully forging it, and being a seasoned drag veteran may well allow you into the 12's. This S14 is running a STANDARD bottom end, that is, it's not forged, it is as it came from the factory. with a stonking great turbo. on its first drag run EVER, in apalling conditions, it ran a 13.3. As soon as the weather dries up, with some reasonable rubber, it'll SLAUGHTER into the 12's, i'm confident it'll be able to reach the

you sound more like cal than cal does mate. seriously, if you're going to critisise, which is fine, then do so with knowledge, or some research, or even just reading our posts. Rick would have beaten that supra on the day, yes. Read the posts again. Then punch yourself. A high power starlet will be digging holes, end of story. I now know what you're going to be running, and i'll say it again. Just try to go up alongside Dave, please, just try. He wouldn't even waste his time on it, even if it was the quickest starlet in the world. He'd even offer to let you drive his S14 up the strip if yo
-
Fishy, you have a starlet, even the quickest starlet in development (i.e ricks) doesn't hold a candle to daves. Its not 'just' 400bhp, it is in fact alot more, not forgetting the fact that the torque figure is astronomical. Starlets are not drag cars, or race cars, neither are S14's, but if you really feel that ANY starlet could get up the strip (in the wet) quicker than dave's S14, then he would gladly take up that challenge. If you own a starlet, i can assume you are quite young? Dave has been drag racing, stockrod racing, and circuit racing since the age of about 6 or 7. He is a genius b

if you go into the post office, they wont even look at that, they don't care. if you tax it online, then, well, whats the bloody problem? it doesn't matter, they get shit wrong, alot, and they know it. noone's gonna measure your car and say "oop, that has 71cc more than it says on this 'ere piece of paper, naughty naughty". if it has the right engine in it, it'll be fine.
-
no, it was spectacular. not many people can drift up a drag strip whilst trying to drive in a straight line. we were all worried, thinking it was gonna spin, the driver (Dave) was laughing histerically, without a care. he is fearless. No other person on the planet could have got that car, on that day, up that strip any quicker than it ran. Dave truly is a driving genius. If he had slicks (and not bald tyres), it would have been something truly magical. If it was 'ok', then please feel free to go up against it, or even ask to get it up there yourself without killing yourself (trust me when i
