you can say that again. ;O
-
no, you adjust the damper rebound of the suspension (i.e stiffness), not the height
-
tbh its gone chuffing easily considering, only small probs compared to what other people have to deal with, and its just the one prob, well, cept the leak.
-
we can't source them for that sort of money with tyres, as shipping them with tyres isn't feasable, they're too heavy, although we can source proper rare rims fine without tyres

No, he doesn't want to put any castrol oil in there, its the work of satan, and will do more harm from good, especially if its already nackered - its renowned for clogging up engines and adding loads of excess gunk in there, its a pile of crap really, why people still use it is beyond me. best bet is some Millers oil (i use the XSS stuff, 10w40 in everything) or some Valvoline durablend, although the normal petrol engine oils from Millers is fine, they know their stuff.

hehe, can't believe the performance for a 1.3....that takes me back  (although i never actually had a n/a starlet) tell me about the wind though, i was driving back from daves tonight and i was getting blown all over the road, even above 140mph, it was jumping lanes like a mental patient, i just kept going and didnt look at the speedo, quite glad as i may well have scared myself

that clicking just means there's no power, mine did that when the battery was flat, you need to get some more juice in the battery mate, jap batteries are renowned to be shite. its a shame that batteries are BUCKS now, but still.

i'll be in the 200 mate, as last year.

Potential Trackday: Lydden Hill (near Canterbury) on March 21st
ecksjay replied to riko666's topic in South East Region
enrico, why dont you just book in with motorsportevents.co.uk? they run regular airfield days for alot less than that, i'm booked into a few this year ;) -
never found that in mine tbh, but obviously skilled throttle control is something you learn, i would never just give it beans in first or make it spin up as i knew how to drive it without doing so, thus it just came naturally, although if i gave it to anyone else to drive it'd just like, dig holes. my s14 does the same, but at the other end, first few gears are useless ;/ wangan ftw
-
mark me down for it all with rick please, i'll have to pull something out of my ass to get the time off work, but hey, its only two days, might have to say i have the shits isn't it ^;
-
mate, you are gonna get some wider wheels yes? those arches SWALLOW those wheels up, they're either too thin or they have a REALLY high offset, because it looks like its gonna topple over with them on, even without considering that those skirts are even wider. You need some wider wheels desperately, spacers aren't advised as they can be dangerous, and you'd need MASSIVE ones (if it was only 5mm then fine, but you'd need big hubcentric jobbies), and then it'd be a very nice motor - thats the only thing i can see thats letting it down at the moment. Keep it up shag.

ecksjay replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
on a 200sx, leave it alone mate. go and see jez in newbury (horsham developments) if you want some more power, he'll remap the stock ecu to whatever spec you want. Post this question on SXOC (sx owners club), see what response you get there. an SR20DET is an entirely different animal to a 4E..... -
stock or no bov ftw. I had a recirc ARC bov when i had my glanza, and that was tightened up fully as i actually hated the BOV noise after about 2 mins, then shortly after i put the stock item back on and it felt SO much better. more torque, less lag between gears, just lush. it definately wasn't leaking either, ARC stuff doesn't break. It felt the same when i drove it with a blitz DD on there too, vile in comparison. I'll never use a BOV on my S14A, ever.
-
a K24 on a bike? mate, have you ever driven a turbo bike? he needs the smallest turbo he can get, any amount of boost on a bike is lethal, they'll spool up when going round a corner and bam, you're dead. its lush. ct9 or something like a td04-11b, one of the tiny ones, basically anything with decent boost control. perhaps, a turbo from a cappucino or figaro might be a little better suited.
-
mine never made that noise, which is far more lush, if it did i would have set fire to the cunt. its horrible.
-
you take the surround off, and unbolt the shifter. its that easy.
