  1. swap it with daves. his clutch is actually managable, and its rated at 1000bhp/850lb.ft lolz (ogura orc ftw). also seriously mate. ubz.

I'm surprised at that, if you've only spent time on a supra forum then it my be because their staff visit there, because its common knowledge that they are absolute cowboys. get yourself on an sx forum mate, wont really get much assistance about the SR on here, get on freshalloy as they're the boys, have been pioneering sx technology for years.
  3. its a different turbo, ofcourse its not gonna be the same. remove everything, just run the actuator, and see what she hits, obviously not letting it shoot up beyond what its mapped for (your 'sard ecu' will NOT be mapped for a K1, hence if you let it spool to unlimited boost then you'll most definately blow a piston...or two). run actuator pressure and see how you get on, then hook up the boost controller and learn to tune it properly also, if they've done a proper job, then thats a very lucky deal right there - although the compressor blades aren't the same as normal K1 blades from the loo

  7. wallace was the closest. They're probably RS Watanabe's, but, if they're not, then they're BR's (Black Racing) models, which are the same as the watanabe's, just made by BR (copies basically). I had a set of panasports when i sold the glanza (thought that WAS my glanza at first glance!), but i did have both a set of BR's and original RS Watanabe's at certain points of my glanza ownership They should be cheap, but they arent, they normally demand megabucks, especially as the MX5 boys love em. regularly see em go without tyres for upwards of £350+
  8. if you can get it for that money, then sound, thats lucky, although, they arent your everyday ct9's so it may well throw up some surprises - the sizes of the components aren't generic sizes, its a custom one-off turbo for a reason. good luck bud.
  9. i've found a better source mate, motorsportevents (google it) run regular airfield track days thanks for letting me know anyways mate. anyways, the company above do loads of trackdays, several a month in fact, on big open airfields, so i'll be attending a few in the near future when i get my daily driver and brakes on (nothing immense, just 315mm discs etc).

  15. it looks clean because it is, for the first time ever. have had it a year, and that was literally the first time i've ever cleaned it, or got close to it with any kind of cleaning device. i.e a fucking sponge. shoulda seen it before, you could barely make out that its red, it was very much brown, cleaning cars is for women and fucking gaylords, thus, i do it as little as i can. it was nice to see what it actually looks like for a change though ;d
  16. i'd take the mileage with a pinch of salt tbh mate, and definately look into uprated shocks, the standard ones wont last long with lowering springs as it'll be completely different to the rebound of the shocks, which will put alot more stress on them, plus its also fantastically dangerous if one does pop when you're giving it beans. there's also the fact that it'll never handle as well as it could with better suited uprated shocks, as again, the originals arent matched to lowering springs. defo look into it, i'm gonna be bringing in a few sets if coilovers and shit soon so i'll give you a shou

  18. dumb fucks. yes, its an auto toll pay system, most jap motors have them but they're ripped out in japan or once they get here, they just leave a pre-paid car in there and it allows them to drive through the tolls in japland. simple.

  21. just bam a new one on mate, for the mone you can afford to just used ones that are smoking as they come up for sale all the time. only problem with td04's is that they are a little further along the line as far as bhp goes, plus their compressor map isn't 'ideally' suited to the exhaust flow of the 4E's, although they still work, its just not the same as the response you'd get from a K1, or a custom hybrid from the likes of turbo technics.
