plus it into your broadband mate. would hate to play it on dialup, but doubt it'd actually ever work anyways, would need external modem for that, and you wouldnt be able to play it anyway. the network cable that goes from your broadband modem to your pc just plugs into the back of the xbox mate

apparently not, but as i said, i didnt check back on the auction. if it was forged i would have probably gone for it, and chucked the engine in the glanza, was a bit dubious otherwise. we'll see how it goes. me and dave fancy something for the track (turbo'd integra or something, or an ae86) so i'll have to keep my eye on there. as i said mate, give me a pm with who you use if you can, that would be much appreciated. cheers Harrison

that was from only one importer mate, who do you use? (pm me if you'd like). i haven't asked my cousin yet, he would prob be able to get it in cost if i got him on the case, just effort ;/ also, that was for the BIN price of 350k, i didnt know what it sold for as i never checked back (expected it to go for the BIN price tho, so good deal). at 180k it would've been around £1800 after recalculating that. bargain.

yeah we almost did buy it, got it priced up etc, was coming in at about 2.5k landed, so i was VERY tempted. i have two cars atm tho so it wouldnt be justifiable, plus, i couldnt see it feasable to use on the roads (mine struggles with grip on the ct9, let alone a td05). plus i was dubious as to the mods/condition of the engine, the kit etc has been on there a while, plus, i 'think' its stock pistons, not forgies (there's no mentioning of forgies in the translation). would be a lovely sleeper though (although, i'd love an ae86, which can be had for the same money !). good luck with it mate

i'm on there also, surprisingly, me names ecksjay on there too ;]

What Size are the door speakers in the starlet GT Turbo?
ecksjay replied to Marc's topic in Interior & ICE
in that case, you have the optional door speakers, not a common thing, either that or they're aftermarket. plus, if they're in the doors, they may well be 13cm, not 10cm, as it would be far more realistic to go up a size due to the better support. and no, head units are NOT sufficient to power '6x9s', you obviously just think they are because you havent experienced a quality audio system (by the way, 6x9s do not belong anywhere near even a MEDIOCRE audio system, they're the absolute bottom of the pile when it comes to car audio, literally the scum being scraped off the bottom of a shit covered -
looks nice mate, shame they're slow as shit though, doesn't do the looks justice ;) (wang a 2jz in there, that'll sort it out ).
-
no, they're shit. its a 20+ year old corolla for fuck sake. everything rick said is right, and more.

there's two sets of coilovers i wouldnt buy used, those are Tein and JIC. i've seen enough to have very good reasons for that, and recommend it often when people ask ;)

What Size are the door speakers in the starlet GT Turbo?
ecksjay replied to Marc's topic in Interior & ICE
oh ye and that, total waste of time. if you're going to reinforce the mounting points, or relocate them to the doors with mdf pods etc for stability, then amplify them, then yes, they may be better, but until then, they'll be shite. your stock speakers will also be very sensitive to the low power coming from your head unit, say, around 4x10wrms (the '4x50w' or whatever advertised on your head unit is bullshit, its actually only around 4x10wrms of distorted power, due to lack of heat conducting methods and poor airflow), if you install speakers with a higher rated power (say, even as low as 25- -

there aren't door speakers. there are wanky dash speakers, which are shit, and mate, dont worry mate, you can get pioneers here for a tenner, but they'll still be shit as they're mounted in flimsy plastic - dont waste the weight, use it to bring back fags and alcohol instead. -
its dale mate.

happy birthday you sexy fucking prick.

oh ye, what a noob. was silly, especially with farmers about.

mine would easily give back 300miles to £30, which is bordering on 45mpg.
-
sure, why not. ;d also, no matter what you say, by bragging about this on the forum, you're a muppet. end of story. trying to argue on the internet is like competing in the special olympics - even if you win, you're still retarded. similar thing going on atm over on tgtt, except its allowed to go on here, hence, you should expect worse responses than mine. you did a stupid thing, expect stupid replies. grow up and accept that fact.
-
firstly - fuck you. fucking muppet. secondly, drive something that actually is quick, and you'll appreciate why they can at best be described as 'nippy'. I went from driving 700bhp+ skylines (on regular occasions, but obviously varied from pissy little imports, through evos, imprezas, skylines, supras etc, in stock form all the way up to drag prepared monsters of over 700bhp) to my starlet (only thing i could insure at 18, as i was on trade insurance with work back then, hence driving those cars), and it was like, getting stabbed in the face. was horrible. after a while it felt alright as i l
