make a copy mate ;) you know you'd sell a few if you did some copys. Rich.

you'll only need the engine and loom really, the gearbox bolts up to your one. as has been said mate, if you do any hardcore engine work it'd be quite a bit easier to get a garage to fit you a 5efe, roughly 100bhp, and no wiring issues (apparently) unlike my failed fhe conversion. Rich.

totally. i love your car jim. if i could afford to buy it i would. ;) Rich.

cheers bud thanks mate ;) i get asked that everywhere i go!! if you look at the size of the glass its actuallythe same length as the normal ones, but just not as tall. there convex anyway, so you can see plenty thru them. cheers bud yes mate. i did it myself. the problem with ally is that its a naturally greasy metal, so i scrubbed it all over with a fine wire brush and thinners until it looked clean, then soaked it in the thinners for about 20 mins, left it in the baking sun for 15 mins then hit it with some normal grey primer. if you have a thick covering it is easier t

i also used think this, but from what ive heard the reliablity depends on the tune. dale (braidedlines.com) from the austarletclub runs a td04l turbo setup on his totally standard internals 4efe and runs 20psi every day and has had no problems (at 204bhp) with its normal compression. he uses a microtech aftermarket ecu. Rich.

the only thing you need to watch with engine conversions is insurance, for instance, i could get insured on a 96 glanza for £1100, however my car with a ct9 strapped on (this is after ive explained that it is basically the same engine as the 4efte) pushing 120bhp mr insurance man wants a tidy sum of £2236 per year... this is where engine work has its downfalls. but as geo has said, we're not talking money here, i personally wouldnt mind being different and strapping on a set of quad throttle bodies, aftermarket ecu, head skimmed and make the little 1.3 a fun rocketship but if

too right. ;) Rich.

look at you rollin on your pimp steelies geo! ;) Rich.

;) what are ya like si? anyways, for those who havent met me yet, this is me.... Rich.
-
true, forgot about the oil filter relocator, apparently you can get the one off the 4efte to work with only the centre bolt, is that right? Rich.
-
this is exactly why im thinking this way at the mo, ive heard the ct9 spools up quite quickly, so it'd be the perfect package for someone just after a bit more poke from the 4efe, i think this would be do able for about £900 max which is peanuts when your talking about turboing a car, considering you'll probably be getting about 120bhp at least i would have thought. Rich.
