thats some good info there, cheers gents. well its a tossup between the hdi and the autobahn, as i want to keep the stock recirc bov, so the autobahn seems to make sense, but after seeing fishy's one he bought i was really not that impressed. thats why im leaning towards getting the hdi, even if they are a little large.

im sure starletrick was running a acis on his 5e td05, you could ask him. i remember there was alot of info back in the day about inlet mani's on the austarletclub, you could try a search there buddy.

agreed. i have a mild steel and it has not cracked in about the year its been on the car... fron what ive heard stainless will crack on the welds everytime, i had this happen with my stainless decat, from what i could see it was fantastic build quality, but after 7 months it had cracked almost all the way around the weld.

calling all hdi cooler owners! few questions. 1) is yours a 98 spec front bumper and if so how much trimming was required to get the bastard to fit? 2) where did you purchase it from? and how much? 3) have you experienced any problems with hoses popping off etc. 4) where is the cheapest you've seen them since?

personally i hate the stuff... banzai did a test on tesco esso and shell supers and the tesco one didnt come out that great, even if its 99 octane. i always use esso fuel, mine seems to run better on it.

nope, i really cant! i'll just keep swapping them over until im happy! lol na, i cant stand the sound they make with a open filter, ive got an apexi that i throw on every now and then for a laugh, but other than that i hate it... it sounds like a cross between a vacuum cleaner and a whistle... plus i cant justify the stupid amount of fuel it drinks with one on either and the fact that you seem to loose tons of bottom end torque.

is that thru the std airbox g?
