dont let it bother you buddy. i waited 8 months till i could get my loan, then another month to get it thru! look on the plus side, you will get one. just dont do what i did, i looked round while i didnt have the money, and i found a total minted 99 V in silver. it sold one week before i got my loan thru. i was gutted. but now im happy i finally got one!

best one to get would be a road angel compact with the upgrade laser reciever (free with the unit at halfords at present). it'll do all the fixed stuff, radar detection and laser detection and has 6 months free subscription. if you want one that does any type of laser or radar detection, buy one now. as the government are trying to ban the radar and laser detecting side of things by april/may time (last time i heard). so you'll only have fixed cameras.

did a little bits to it the other day. fitted my old ecu back in after the no difference the 96 ecu made. also got this off ebay. its a lamco 43mm boost guage. i suspected my greddy one wasnt reading right. so fitted this. nice little addition with its own rubber pod. also ive noticed that the rubber bonnet seal at the front of the bonnet could be restricting airflow to the airbox intake. so i cut a small length off to allow cold air flow to the airbox. made a nice difference.. it actually started boosting higher too!!

it can be done. www.braidedlines.com (go to products, then turbo kits) dale bolted on a tdo4l turbo with a custom exhaust manifold and exhaust with a charge cooler and a microtech ecu. he ran it at 18-20psi everyday and it lasted till well beyond the day he sold it. high compression turbo engines can be done. things you need to think about. a conversion is by no means easy, if youre not confident yourself you'll need to find a company who know what theyre doing. you need to research insurance costs first. for a turbo'd n/a starlet my insurance would have been £2235 per year, my glanza only costs me £800 per year.

im not convinced by that whatsoever.... ive compaired a standard 4efe intake mani against a fte one and i couldnt see any noticeable difference, (internal resoviour seems the same volume, and the intake plateseems to be big enough to take a fte throttle body) apart from the runners being shorter on the fte. i think it would make a nice difference, and i intend to find out when i have a fmic! your only problem is the idle sensor, as it bolts into the fte mani, whereas the 4efe has it in the throttle body.

ok people. there seems to be alot of knowledge floating about on this site about fmic's, but i only seem to read the odd comment here and there, so i'd like to set up a thread to show fmic options. i personally will be looking for a 'cooler that allows me to keep my air con... as i sweated out too many summers without it in my old n/a!! plus i do not want to be chopping out metalwork to feed the piping thru. i want it to have a simular appearance to geo's or sicaln's purely because i have plans to open out the front bumper, and i dont really want some pissy little thing behind the opening. ok i know the greddy kit is good, as i experienced it it rubix's old glanza, and it looks good on si's car... but lets face it its not that cheap. the only thing i dont like about the greddy is the way it uses the original turbo boost pipe ( the black pipe that also feeds the bov) and loops round the top of the cam cover. so i'd like a kit that comes straight off the turbo. ive heard good things about the wepr one but not too sure if its a/c compatable. so any other reccomendations would be good! im not fussed about having a branded kit, so fire away! where can you get the 98 glanza front splitters and how much are they?

my mate has one. i like it, but to be honest, when you dive it because you sit so high up it doesnt feel like you going fast until you look at the speedo! its pretty quick, but i prefer a car that feels fast. as said, handels good though.
