ok, update. ive had a poke around in the engine bay, and remembered this: this is one of the pipes that attaches to the actuater, it appears to have a 'T' peice in it which leads off to a blue hose that is blocked at the end with a bolt. im gonna investigate how hard it would be to replace this, but would it even be causing this problem?? the only other thing i can think of is the high & low boost mod which i have done, but surely it cant be that? ok mate, i tried what you said and it worked! it came up with code 34 which is turbo pressure!?!? but if you look on the list it has no reason or component?? so what do i do? Rich.

nah, i got a glanza now chap. fuel cut? really? does the engine management light come on when you reach fuel cut? as for mods.... well its standard!!! i havent changed anything!! what could be causing it? cheers damage, i'll try and wire them in a bit more securely now. its strange that you say fuel cut, because the engine electrics light has probably come on about 5-6 times since ive had it, but last night was the first time it "spluttered" Rich.

ok guys, i really need some help with this. pretty much every journey i make now the engine electrics light comes on and stays on till i turn off the ignition, it doesnt come on when im booting it, but when im just cruising along in a high gear. on the way home tonight i was in 5th and accelurated up to about 70mph but as the boost lights started to come on as the turbo kicked in the whole car, well, all i can describe it as "coughed" and the engine electrics light came on. i have tried the diagnosis that is sticky'd in technical, but the pins are in a different place on my car compared to the diagram, so i looked on the inside of the lid and connected the bit of wire up to the te1 & e1 ports, as it says but the engine electrics light didnt come on at all??? anyone got any ideas???? cheers mate, i tryed fitting the bov earlier, i left the stock bov where it was, but blocked off everything on the bov, and all the hoses i didnt use, and it worked, but the turbo sounded really loud?? i dont mean the valve, but while spooling, the actual turbo was really loud, so i decided not to risk it and return it back to standard. is this normal? is it my dodgy fitting? or is it the valve? also, should the engine breather be connected to the side fitting on the valve? as i just blocked it off? im gonna get on a lathe during the week and make up a proper bung for the hole where the original bov was. where can you get bungs for blocking up these holes? help please???? i really want to get this fitted!! ok guys, ive slowly been learning what i can about the glanza, but now i have some technial i'd like to know? one, how do i know if my car has a lsd? because theres all the factory stickers all over the car and ive found one in my drivers door that has all the tyre sizes on it and a section on the bottom that says LSD... is that just a bunch of letters in a random order on the car or does that mean it has a lsd? ok secondly, i have bought a hks super bov that looks like this... i can see where i need to install the bov, but what do i do about the standard bov? do i need to take it out completely and make a blanking plate for the hole that is left? or can i leave it in, but just blank off all the out/inlets that were on the valve? also i know i use the smaller hose that goes the the original bov for the top of the new bov, but do i still use the engine breather pipe that comes off the cam cover? as i can see that the new one has another attachment for a pipe going into it, but i dont know what one!! sorry about all the questions, but after spending loads of money on this car, i really dont wanna bugger it up by installing something wrong!! thanks in advance. cheers for the nice comments guys. cheers bud, i actually didnt know what to say!!! i had been driving around absolutely speechless all morning!!! yeah, ive wanted one since i first typed in ep91 into google 4 years ago... because it came up with a white 98 spec glanza.... ive wanted a 98 ever since!! as for plans, ive got a hks bov sitting waiting to fit, im hopefully scourcing a set of teins for it too, and ive got craigs old wheels at mine that im refurbing as we speak! ah, thanks shelly, yeah, im already into that!! alreay used £30 worth of fuel and ive only done 150 miles!! what do you mean the wheels that are on the car? or my old ones? sicaln has also dealt with japanmotors, and i must say that i would reccommend him to anyone... once you show that you are serious about buying he just cant do enough for you. hes bent over backwards to get me what i want, (hes ordered a set of toyota front splitters from japan, gave me a rsr exhaust for the car too) and changed over and fixed little bits that i wasnt happy with. yeah, i wanted to keep it quiet... you should have seen my mates when they saw it for the first time!! they were really shocked as they thought that it'd be another year untill i got one!!!! yeah, i wanted to start from scratch, as then i know what has and hasnt been done.

ok,well ive been talking of getting rid of the starly for a while now, and yesterday i finally did it!!! obviously i needed a replacement for the starly, it took a while.... but i am soooo pleased with it! it is a 1998 s reg totally standard glanza v... ;) ;) dead chuffed! an you guys thought you were getting rid of me!!!! ;) ;) Rich.

yeah, i think thats right... but as a track car a 2.0L turbo engine over the front wheels wont outhandle much on the track i guess.

hey guys. yeah, the starlet is defo going after the holiday. really sad about it actually. but ive had it for nearly 5 years now... so i really do need to move on. the new owner is a mate of mine, and is already regestered on the site... so it'll still be on here. its staying secret until i have it... its been killing me keeping it secret until now, but... the deposit is down, but i just wont believe it until i have the keys in my hand. @geo i am tempted... a 300xz has been on the cards too... have also considered a mr2, but its just too common for me. with the money ive got i could have got a minter of anything!!
