I'd be keen to see what power it produces too! The GT3071r turbo is a nice turbo!
-
What width are they? profile is a percentage of width, so that'll make a dif mate. Why did the others not fit? PCD or offset?
-
The only diff Phil is the jackets are thincker -- it's meant to stop arc'ing in "race" cars -- I was just gonna get the red jackets to keep my colour scheme going though
-
I'm gonna do a whole ignition overhaul on mine soon -- Dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and leads... I'd say coil too but there £90 from toyota!
-
The Glanza is restricted to low boost in 1st and second gear anyway, so you shouldn't need to hit the LO button -- and looking at your engine bay pic you haven't bypassed the LO boost solenoid. I think you'll just have to learn to feather the throttle though. I got my car Rolling Roaded shortly after I got it, my mods were: HKS Cat Back exhaust (With a slight blow) Blitz SUS Filter Apexi SAFC And I made 138.4BHP -- so you'll be around that mark mate.
-
You can get an Apexi SAFC to do the same job -- you can trim fuelling at 12 points along the rev range +-30% ======================EDIT========================== I've just looked at the manual for my SAFC -- it's got the jumper settings for the 4EFE so yeah, you can use it on the NA. I thought you could, but wasn't sure if it was just for the more popular NA engines like BA16's etc?

central meet, what do you all think ?
lobotomy replied to woodchopper87's topic in The Scottish Quarter
I was reading this thread and thinking -- why are people complaing about coming up to scotland?? It's in the scottish meets section?? But I'm guessing you guys use the "todays posts" thing? You actually just missed one before christmas Chopper, There's also a big "Cruise" happening this saturday at kilmarnock -- but suppose that'd be a bit of a trek for you? -
Yes piggy-back ECU's still retain the factory ECU -- They generally intercept signals and adjust the voltage values being sent to the ECU which results in more or less fuelling (in the case of a fuel computer like SAFC) or ignition timing etc in the case of something like the Emanage. I have the older Apexi SAFC (Super air flow converter) in my car and run the standard ECU -- Basically it lets you add or subtract up to 30% fuelling at 5 intervals across the rev range (800 - 2400 - 4000 - 5600 - 7200rpm) They've discontinued the original model though, but you can get the SAFC II or NEO thes
-
I've been a few times too... missed last year though, which I kinda glad because it was torrential! But then the year before was blisteringly hot... forgot to lotion one of my legs because I opened another can of breakfast beer and it got burned stupid
-
They don't have to be extreme, you can just get a plug-and-play JDM replacement ECU, but they're mapped for specific spec'd cars in Japan so it's hard to get a matching one (if you even know what it's mapped for) but they remove the limiters and have more aggressive timing and fuelling. Or you could get something like a piggyback ECU like the Greddy Emanage which is a popular choice up my way because my mate fits and maps them for a lot of the GT/Glanza guys for cheap (Lots of good testimonials of his work too!) Or something along the lines of a fuelling computer like SAFC

Received and perfect shelly m'dear! -
How much would a average set of 15s with tyres weigh?
lobotomy replied to Tommy_G's topic in Lifestyle General
What make are they mate? There was an alloy wheel bible somewhere on the net if I can find it... It had the weights of most aftermarket alloy wheels on it. Obviously never included the tyres though. -

the other 3 photo's you sent were high res shelly -- but the one I've used in the example above is only 800x600 -
Looks minted Geo! I nearly choked when someone first posted it up in the links section! I really wish I had held out, because your getting more V for your buck thses days for def!!!

Yeah but for an example: This is the pic shelly supplied me at 800x600 -- If I scale that up to the main pic size the lens won't make any dif! It's all about pixels and DPI. The calendar for A4 page print will be printed at 3508x2480 at 300DPI for good quality printing. -

I did state that entrants should have been at least 1600x1200 for the main pic and 1024x768 for the sub pics... but oh well ;) -

Whoops -- yeah sorry got yours Simon -- nice pics, I think you'll have time to take some more if you fancied yourself? -
Powerflow are also a franchise -- ie it depends which outlet you take your car to which determines the quality of work, the one up our way has a bad rep!

Hey Geo I've just got my internet connection sorted after some problems -- I got you mails, and they are all about 5mb, which implies there should be pics, but when I view them they don't show up?? I know they're attached as forwarded mails, but the pics still don't show up?? I'll have a bash at a few things to try retrieve these pics... failing that could you send them to my -
nah it's people who sit at 55mph... it's just at a point between gear changes... you're either in too high or too low a gear!! bloody annoys me!!
-
Hmmm.... it was an ok episode, bit flacid by way of cars though! And I see enough road works on my way to work, don't especially want to see them on tv too! I thought the hammong crash would've been worse to be honest... but then crashing at 300mph must be pretty scarey!
-
Nah you don't want loud exhausts -- My HKS system just burble when Idling, then when you open it up on the road it sounds good! There's a 1.4 MG ZR on my street that's about 10x as loud as mine, sounds good, but just too loud! The OEM exhaust route is torturous! That centre box looks quite small -- That's my lowest point on the car... always scrapes ove speedbumps unless I'm doing 1mph
-
Take the part number Jays given in the TGTT thread and go to toyota mate -- they'll have your part in 1-2 days. I'm going to give my Glanza an ignition overhaul soon!
