  1. You just have to remember mate -- Kierz is asking for Glanza insurance... Elephant don't recognise a Glanza Although when I got quoted on a GT valued at £6000 with wheels/suspension declared I was quoted ~£600FC with elephant. A-Plan require you to have 1 or 2 years NCB's though I'm sure. Apart from that they're good for grey imports. My bro got his S13 with mods insured for a ridiculously low price with them!
  2. So can I -- the car feels like a different animal to be honest... though it was a bit of a double edged sword because the extra 1-2psi you free up as a result of bypassing the solenoid kept putting me over fuel cut if I put my throttle past 50% It was a bugger to say the least when overtaking!
  3. Not many companies at all will recognise the Glanza unfortunately! APlan Bell Direct Quinn Adrian Flux MasterQuote They're all I know of. P.S Search the insurance section -- because I posted a huge list of a lot of the companies I phoned for insurance for my Glanza and the reasons they wouldn't insure me.
  4. Or you could drill your washer jets into the scuttle panel?? But Si's method is the one I've heard from most places. You need to seal the inner plys well or they'll absorb water and seperate, super glue or epoxy resin.
  5. Yeah don't think it's too hard to get in -- but it's a bit of a treck home for me if I were to get turfed out Also buy a Saturday ticket, spend the day in the arena and then follow the crowd out to the campsite the next day. Then claim you lost your band in the crowd the next morning.
  6. How's yours Si? Still sparkling? Mine is a bit dull now it's too hard to get in with the metal polish without taking the bumper off! Saying that, now because of my FMIC, my bumper is only held on by like 4 bolts
  7. Oh... I never said I didn't like it, just that it didn't really do what you were saying. Also, I had planned to buy this GT when it was up for sale Just didn't have the funds ready
  8. On a hatchback the spoiler isn't aimed primarily at "downforce" (Actually it doesn't even really produce a downforce, just reduces the lift generated by the shape of the car) It's moreso there to reduce drag associated with the seperation of flow at the hatch and improve fuel economy. (sorry that's my aerospace engineering coming into play... from what I can remember anyway)
  9. Lovely GT mate -- Do have a little thing for quadlamps! And yeah the swift is pretty trick too!
  10. Damn I'm was picking things out as I scrolled down and you beat me to them Si... But I've also noticed blue top mounts? Cusco? Maybe Coilovers? Maybe just camber adjustable topmounts? Also it's got kouki tail lights and zenki headlamps?
  11. I love your GT mate -- Just how I'd have it!! It must be feeling pretty good now too! My mate has those Apexi gauges in black -- they're cool. How do you find it where you've mounted it?
  12. Heh -- you know whats funny?? I'm sure I know the guy who owns that Ferrari The liscence plate is Coo as on Cow -- Pretty sure it's Davie Shaw's, he's a milk farmer and owns Sorn milk. His son Charlie shaw is the guy with the 600BHP Cossie powered Focus that drifts at knockhill.
  13. Hmmm.... we haven't had any snow yet this year, which is actually odd!
  14. Can't beat a bit of swede... Have a good time on UKSC Annan
  15. WooHoo -- I've got myself one too. Roll on the junk mail and telephone calls wanting me to insure with RAC!!!
  16. Here's a couple... take your pick
  17. Hankook Ventus Sport K104's -- They're a slightly harder compound than the T1R's but they will last you longer to boot. Good tyre from all accounts so far.
  18. They go on sale the monday after TITP and sell out in about an hour usually -- they then sell another 20000 tickets or so a few months later, but they all sold out in 45 min (a la my situation above) So it'll be Ebay for them I'm sure. Now would prob be a good time to try get some before people start wanting them again.
  19. Also I'm sure you need to be doing it with heat, ie if you're not painting it in an oven then you need one of those big jet heat blower thingies?? That's what my mate does anyway when he's not able to get into the shop.
  20. I've got 50 profile on my 15"s -- to be honest any less would break my back when going over bumps in the road!
  21. I got mine a month before TITP 2 years ago off a friend of a friend for cheaper than face value. Safe to say I was chuffed! Just couldn't get any for under £200/ticket last year! It totally sucked though, because I sat on the net, and on my mobile, my bro was on his mobile, then three of my friends doing the same thing. Out of 9 people repeatedly attempting to get tickets only 1 of my mates got tickets... and he was limited to 2!!! Bastarding touts ruin it for everyone! But then because none of the rest of us could get reasonably priced tickets he sold his pair for £550 on
  22. Bugger mate That sucks, I'm off sat and the girlfriend is going out so I'll def be there. Plus my mate is trying to sell his wifes CS so we're going early for a KFC or something and to park up in some prime spots.
  23. Width is in mm Try out my bro's tyre sizer -- Might not give you what you looking for though but you can compare the rolling radius of your current wheels with your new ones to see the size dif http://www.gailmail.co.uk/tyresizer.asp
