Right guys -- thought the idea of a silhouette game was quite a good one so thought I'd start it off with an easy one: The first person to guess the correct car gets the opportunity to make (or nominate to a photoshopp'y by PM) the next car in the game... How does that sound? [edit] I also thought that the way to answer could be by posting a google image of the car you think it is? It might make the thread a tad more interesting when the cars become less obvious?? [/edit]

I'm waiting on photo's coming from Geo... then it should only be an afternoon on my part, then it'll be back to Geo to get printing sorted.

Never had a problem with mine -- I've crunched 2nd a few times and ended up looking stupid, but that's because of the stupidly long throw on the standard gear change. Could be linkages mate, I'm not a big gearbox guru but could it be the synchro mesh?
-
Woohoo -- got mine washed earlier, then went and did a flush and changed the bastarding filter! Had to take off the FMIC pipe and near enough cut my arm open about 50 times on the A/C rad, and to be trueful my friend eventually cracked the seal on it so he has to get the credit (damn these people with overly developed forearms!) Think I'm gonna invest in an oil filter relocation kit!

For me, a day off + a dirty car usually means a good opportunity to give the car some TLC and get it sparkling for another couple days. So this morning (even though it's anout 0°C) I decided to get my bucket ready and run out the hose, After doing that I looked up and half the sky is blue skies and sunshine the other half is dirty bastarding clouds I decided that it would probably hold out so ran in the house to turn on the water. Then my mom says: "you're not right in your head boy! Washing your car out in that" I replied: "It's just a tad cold, I'll mix in some hot water"

Wouldn't imagine they'd fit right on -- a bit of persuasion would be all you'd need though I'm sure! So what skirts are they?

The only thing I can see wrong with the Gressy FMIC from a performance point of view is that it retains the AirCon so takes a slightly more arduous route -- though it spools up fine for me and also only had a 1-2psi drop across the core c/w my topmount so is from what I've read one of the more efficient FM coolers

Yeah enter a dif pic if you want bad santa -- but remeber to add another 3 for sub-pics

You need to e-mail your 4 pics of choice to Geo -- in highest resolution possible. Don't worry it's going to run from Feb to Feb since we're a bit late on the uptake.

No they're off an australian site -- not too expensive, a lot cheaper than you can get them in the UK anyway. I've got enough JDM stoor floating around my car for now mate If you see any purdy electronic gauges cheaper than that give me a shout, won't be getting them for another couple months anyway.
-
The Defis are more expensive than the HKS gauges by quite a bit... So just trying to limit my spending as I'm currently scraping together abot £300 for a major service I'm gonna do. I'm getting the HKS gauges brand new for: Boost: Y16800 (£71.30) Oil Pressure: Y19800 (£84.00) Oil Temp: Y13900 (£58.00) Control Unit: Y8400 (£35.00) Then whatever shipping is gonna cost me... The same place sells the defi control unit for: Y9500 (£40)

He's got a prelude in the Other Rides section mate.

The electronic or mechanical gauge question is one of budget -- How much are you willing to pay? An electronic Boost gauge can cost £80-£100 then you need the control unit, same price again for oil temp/pressure gauge. Mechanical gauges are cheaper, but you need to run a vac line/oil line into the cabin. As for fitting they both get plumbed in the same way except mechanical you run directly to the gauge in the cabin whereas the electronic you run to the control unit then run a cable into the cabin. Where are you getting a 3gauge pillar pod from? Is it a universal one off Ebay

I could literally take 100 different pics of potholes on my way to work -- I've been followed by cars who I'm sure have been convinced I'm drunk... until they land in all the potholes I'm avoiding

Okay I just tried with Internet Explorer and the quick edit and forum options tabs work -- Kinda sucks though because Firefox is superior, and I don;t think I'll go back to IE -

Yep I concur with Paul -- The car is mapped up to Fuel cut so you can boost up to there fine. -
I've got an idea of the pics I want -- dunno for sure though!
