Yep -- If the (NEG)offset is too large the tyres will rub the arches (obviously only if the car is lowered though) And as you can see from the above pics the opposite case could lead to the alloy fowling the strut.

Offset is the measurement in millimeters from the wheel centre line to the wheel mounting face. Basically how far "in" or "out" the wheel sits from the hub. It also gives deep-dish or convex style rims depending on the offset used. Here's a few pics to help explain:

The thicker leads only have thicker "sheathing" -- It's meant to stop arcing in high performance cars.

It'll be really hard to change the pic to the colours you've asked for because midnight purple is a metallic and white is a flat colout so it prob wouldn't look right. And it's pretty hard to change white to black is Photoshop wthout losing a lot of detail. I'm off tomo though so I'll have a bash
