I just car mine "the car" as in... I'm going out in "the car" But I've got a running joke with my Girl and my mates saying that it's my other girlfriend because I spend so much time and money on her!
-
First I've heard of this! Hope you get well soon bud!

Photoshop is just a hobby of mine mate I've got an Honours degree in Aerospace engineering ;) trying to get a graduate placement/job in that sector... it sucks!!
-
Geez olive -- you'd probably just happen across us anyway it's that close (I just remeber the time I was taking the Girl to Scotts in Troon shortly after telling her how rare Glanza's were and I pass by you and Baz )
-
Yep no probs -- I'd offer to do the goffering and get prices and stuff but (A)I'm working at my current work all weekend and (B)Working the rest of the time trying to get a bloody decent job! Got aptitude tests to try swat up for now!!

The A4 size on Photoshop is 3508x2480 - I'm just going by that? What do you reckon mate? --- And from what I was suggesting each month is a landscape A4 page? --- And also from looking at another scabbo calendar I've got here (it's got puppies on it) It'll be 16 A4 pages or 4 A3 (is that double A4 can't remeber) printed front and back which includes a front page and a back page where we could put a little blurb about the UKSC and stuff? It would run: Page 1 Front: January & Blank page Page 1 Back: Front Cover & Back Cover Page 2 Front: March & December Page 2 Back: Feb &

This is a quick mockup with a low qulity main image -- I won't direct it here because it's huge This was a 640x480 resolution pic from the last page: [LO Quality main pic See what you think about the pixelation? P.S zoom right in

Well I've got a .psd file of the A4 size page I made on the other page -- All that would need to be changed would be the pics and the months... maybe a few hours work all in all? So long as people knew what car was going on what month etc? But this all hinges on people having an HQ for the main pic and another 2 (at least) or 3 pics for underneath?? Suggetions welcome. [edit] I'm just gonna mock up an A4 size with a Low Quality pic to see how pixelated it gets quickly... [/edit]

I just checked out cafepress -- yeah looks like a good idea of doing it but apart from our pics there won't be anything really "unique" about it that shout UKSC! Whereas I thought if we actually design the whole thing fom start to finish and then take it to a printing shop somewhere to print and bind for us? Dunno how much that would cost though? Not too much though I wouldn't expect?

I'm into it Stevie -- You see all the geeks cool people at shows wearing them so they know who people are at shows I might get a polo shirt made up for the summer!
-
Yeah thats the trick -- try it: left click (and hold) Right click Move mouse to where you want the line to end Left click
-
Those wheels are cool Raffi! Very "Euro" as we'd say over here!
-
That's a secrect click to sart your line, then right click, move the mouse to where you want the end of the line and click again... presto straight line.

Hey guys -- I got to thinking about a layout so I did a litlle mock-up of what I thought would be a good way to lay out the calendar. I know it's my car -- but I had lots of photo's to experiment with... It was only a quick one to show how I thought of laying out the photos?? If you guys have any suggestions as to colour scheme or logo design (that's the UKSC logo I designed a while back) please don't hesitate to add them. I know theres a good few graphic designers on this forum so hopefully they'll add their expertise. Since everyone has submitted a good few photo's I thought this way:
-
What about: A few from our little mini-meet? Also -- do you think we could get 12 individual cars for the comp? because I have an idea for the calendar layout?
-
Well if it's only going to be available in the new year then all the better -- because christmas has really skint me this year!

There was a little flash game going around a while back called "line rider" -- they did lot's of different versions with bikes and cars and stuff with different physics but the original caught my attention for ages... it was really hard to get the little guy to do anything without falling off his sledge, but I managed a few "knarly" jumps and stuff. This guy however must have far too much time on his hands!!! Line Rider Jumps the Shark [edit] I just thought I'd mention for those who haven't played it that there is NO erase option... once you bugger it up you have to start over! [/edit]
-
Also remeber you'll need HQ photo's -- unless it's going to be a desk calendar or something? So if you need my HQ's just give me a shout and I'll post the URL to the them...

Firstly get an insurance quote -- I did the whole elephant quote thing for a 95 GT turbo valued at £5800 and the same mods as my Glanza and got a great quote... then when I actually went to insure it as a Glnaza nobody would recognise it so my quote doubled!!
-
Do we have to post them in here or in the other thread?
-
Yeah get voting for me -- don't think the others will need any help!
-
Hmmm... dunno what to do to mine -- think I'm having a spot of creative block!
-
17th of december is a sunday mate -- And that's the heathfield industrial park at Ayr, not to hard to find, I'm sure closer to the time we can post a map with directions.
-
I dunno how you guys manage to take shots directly into the sun?!? My camera shit's itself if I point it anywhere near the damn thing! Maybe I just can't get the exposure between my car being black and the incredibly bright ball of fire in the sky! Not a huge fan of the NP surround but great shots mate -- car looks very well!

Yeah but what is it? [edit] On closer inspection (with zee binoc-you-lars) it looks like the north west coast of africa and some really small text?? [/edit] [edit] On further inspection I see it's actually a negative image of a womans face... silly me [/edit]
