Paddle clutches rattle -- it's quite common. My mate was told his car had a paddle clutch though and that's why it rattled, but it turned out to be the release bearing! So you'll need to watch out.

attach it to a drill and wind it to the desired number...

I need to do some stuff to my car sometime soon to warrant taking some more pics of her ;)
-
edit your post and delete them yourself ;) Nice colour purple by the way -- Can't really see your wheels though ;)
-
I got free RAC breakdown cover and a free courtesy car anywhere in the country within 10hrs delivered with my masterquote policy. Which was pretty good.
-
The easiest way I find to post pics is to upload them to somewhere like Imageshack Get some pics up soon then ;)
-
You can order the ones Scutch has on his Glanza from Toyota -- there should be a part number in the part no. section. Though if they are to fit onto the SR (I could be wrong in saying now but) you'll need the whole unit and you'll need to modify the rear bumper slightly. Someone will be along to confirm/put me right shortly

My mate just got himself a Golf -- This is what it pretty much looks like (Apart from the wheels... he got himself 19" VW 5 spokes instead ;) )

Is that martins car? [edit] Noticed a few differences so I guess not? [/edit]

Yep, good job with the TV mate -- I'm not really heavy into ice but that looks the part. Always fancied making myself an in-car PC though.

Can you not insure it as a starlet SR? I'm sure the premium won't be that much more and they did come with the alloys as standard did they not? Also the reason alloy wheels increase the insurance premium is that they make the car more attractive to steal for criminals.

the two of you in the middle of a field... alone... with glowsticks dancing to rave music. Hehe, conjours a nice little image in my head ;)
-
That sucks mate! It's a shame because I was looking forward to this a lot! ;) ;) Oh well, it was gonna cost me a lot in petrol to get down which would've strapped me a bit this month so maybe it's a good thing. Keep us posted if you can get it re-organised mate!! P.S Just means we need to get this scottish meet sorted!
-
In general, I'm not a fan of OTT bumpers -- But I don't like the one Sicaln has posted... I still haven't seen a whole pic of your car Martin, so I'm holdding judgement on your bumper yet ;)
-
1bar is the generally accepted max I'm sure -- After that it becomes innefficient and just starts blowing hot air.
-
I'm feeling so lucky now ecks I might even put on a lottery ticket!!
-
That's a bit harsh -- I reckon that'll be one f*@ked up kid in later life... He'll piss the bed till he's 30 no doubt!
-
I've heard it's like doing a quarter mile on the moon... but let's say my friend exaggerates! Hey Geo do you have a final list of names and rough powers for the folk who are running? I could start: Lobotomy (Adrian): 138bhp -- the standard contingent

I could say to my bro and my mate about going down on the monday night. I'd be working to 7pm myself though so it would depend on what kinda time? I did think of leaving maybe late on on the monday night like midnight and just having a couple of longs breaks in some of the service stations... have a snooze or play ridge racer, whatever ;)

Get it tuned properly -- Keep the fuelling spot on and you'll be fine, nothing should blow.
-
Ok mate I've got the tuesday off ;) ;) And so should my mates. Is there any details for this? When we've to be there? A postcode perhaps to plug into the GPS?
-
I voted for suspension too mate -- I've got KYB's and RSR springs on my Glanza mate, I'll let you feel how stiff they are at Brunters... For me that's the next sensible step, then wheels, then music. I've got my girl's old stereo in my car... it doesn't get the radio because I need an adaptor for the ariel and it doesn't feed the rear speakers because I need an adaptor for them too... but it plays my CD's so I'm not too bothered!
-
I'll need to get back to you tomo mate -- I had the 25th booked off my work for the last month or so, so I'll need to do a bit of begging tomo and see if I can get away with a swap or anything. Plus I'll need to get my 2 passengers to try swap the monday for the tuesday!

The B743 between Ayr and Mauchline for me -- 11mi of fun!

Quite the opposite... my mates new Ibiza CupraR (although it's the 1.8T) is very quick!! I like it in fact. And he's got the rare factor too.
