  1. Yeah you could gas flow, port&polish the head I suppose, you'd get marginal gains. And yeah a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold would help; a properly designed one will give you more lower down power, helping your 0-60.
  2. On the same kind of note. I followed Garretts turbo tech tutorial how to pick a suitable turbo. Never found any that would be suitable for 250bhp apparantly, but maybe my assumptions were wrong (P.S I did aerospace engineering at uni so my maths aint the problem -it's all pretty easy ) Give it a shot yourselves: Garrett Turbo tech
  3. Can't remember what prog I was watching but a SAAB engineer once said that over 250bhp is to much for a FWD car... so I agree with wullie and I think that turbo option is about the best, smaller turbine wheel for a smaller engine, sounds about right. Peak power is good to brag about, but response I'd say is better. P.S. This was just before SAAB released a 280bhp FWD model.
  4. Somebody should steal his wind deflectors.
  5. Doh... scuppered my plan ecks!!! Like the old mercede's silver arrows Or chrome... but it's been done on a few cars now.
  6. White cars have always been sexy shelly m'dear
  7. Looks good. What kind of wheels are they?
  8. I'm not too sure. Crazy paint can be ok sometimes. The one man to look to for that is Baz off here. He had a flip painted Starlet SR and his black Glanza has a chromoflair style topcoat on it - And it's cool to see in the flesh. With the sun hitting it Without the sun hitting it Can't find any pics of his old SR, some people on here might have a couple because they were posted on the old forum.
  9. That's the one miracle. Quite a collection now.
  10. If you're increasing your boost at all it's always a good idea to fit an uprated fuel pump as well. Your injectors should be fine if you're sticking with the CT9 & Wullie's right, fensport only do open road tuning & bleed valves are a bit dodgy as they tend to spike. As for you're power query, with just an exhaust, filter and boost increase... wouldn't expect much more than 145-150bhp. Then it varies from car to car.
  11. I'm pretty sure you (or could've been someone else) did one with wullies car?? Pretty sure anyway.
  12. Why's the spoiler actually on the roof?
  13. Looks about 100x better mate, and that's something because it looked great before. Shame about your alloy wheel, because they look perfect on the car.
  14. Yeah but how much do they weigh? I've got a database with loads of wheel size's and weights but those ones aren't on it. Sounds a bit sad and anal but I like to know these things.
  15. Looks pretty good. Need to see some high res photo's so I can pick fault though (Only joking mate ) Some of the girsls in those photo's are a bit scary are they not?
  16. If a pothole has been noted by the council in your area, and you then damage a shock or buckle a wheel etc before it's been repaired (by that I mean an arse of a job done in 5min with some tar and a handful of stones) You can claim for compensation. My mate blew a tyre and buckled a wheel and got the council to pay for the repairs.
  17. I think the fact that there are so many traders offering kits these days is only a good thing. Give's it a bit of competition instead of a money grabbing monopoly. But you always get what you pay for.
  18. Buy a black one and copy ecks every mod... that would be quite annoying
  19. Front bumper is a bit busy for my tatses but dif all the same. How lightwieght are your "lightweight shadow chrome rims" out of curiousity?
  20. You've all probably read the 101 or so chuck norris facts that are going around the net... Here's a few read in good humour by the man himself. Chuck Norris' top 10 facts about himself
  21. They're actually those recaro mobile phone holders the japanese person standing next to them is just reeeeeeaaallly small
  22. I phoned elephant after I got an online quote and gave them the reference code and told them it was actually a Glanza (ie a facelift GTTurbo) The guy seemed to know what I was talking about and never changed the quote. So long as you value your car as much as it's worth (because that'll change the premium)
  23. It's usually just a couple of washers at the back of the bonnet to raise it a bit. Very jap, very fuctional, very cool. GlanzaJim aka Glanza179 seems to quite like the look anyway His old Glanza His current Paseo
