200 bhp reliable but cheap - possible?
Amjad replied to kashkash7867's topic in Performance & Track Days
It runs really well, 1.1bar and estimated 180-190bhp it's quick enough! Yeah before chasing power I'd recommend upgrading the brakes and suspension. I'm running a GT4 single caliper 277.5mm setup, the braking force is awesome you can probably get everything you need for ~£250 or less. Coilovers are one of the best mods you can do as well as ARBs and braces to sort the handling, and an LSD helps put the power down a lot. So I'd say do some basic bolt on mods to run 0.75 bar (below fuel cut) on stock ECU, so it's a bit quicker and then sort the brakes and suspension out. -
Dont let Matt1878 near you once he's had a drink....

I'm not sure whether TD's package or Plug and Play would be bettter for you. I decided to go Plug and Play as it's a lot less hassle travelling up to see a tuner and then I can switch to TD04 without a remap etc. My GT was completely stock I bought: NGK Iridium Grade 7 plugs Uprated HT leads Air filter relocation HKS Actuator HDi FMIC SPS Decat Ported OEM manifold Ported Wastegate Japspeed Exhaust CAP Paddle Clutch Mine's ECU That's all I can remember off the top of my head! -
Sad times! Was good to meet you at JF and car was sweet

I see it in your Avatar. Do I win?

It took me about £800ish to get it to 1 bar on CT9 will all supporting mods on a Mine's ECU, probably a little under 200 -
I should be back then

Thanks guys, they are amazingly comfortable! I tried them in a Colt a few months ago and knew I had to get them at some point! Picked up these ridiculously cheap too so that helps ;) Buy the ones you found! Sorry Mark I already have two people lined up to buy them, but if the sale falls through I'll let you know

Few here, dunno which one would be best
-
Could you give an example of a pic that would be good? There's quite a few to choose from
-
Dunno if I'm allowed one per car? Thought it'd be nice to represent an NA on the banner!

Wow does a spare really weigh that much? I had a space saver in the GT obviously that's gone now Only thing with getting rid of deadening and taking bits of door card etc off is that it would be really annoying day to day. I'd take the back seats out and leave it at that really, but not even those weigh that much really. IIRC my GT rears came in at under 20kg with belt buckles

Didn't realise I moved it after I posted in here
-
Yeah forgot coilovers were lighter. I'm rocking braces, bigger ARBs, GT4 brakes which will add weight but no air con, cat or heat shields. So probably works out same as stock? Some big heavy Recaros are going in, but should be worth it in the corners lol. Would get brides but not all of us are mad of money
-
I need a battery too, it's one of those things you really don't wanna buy James was gonna do my seats but I need to get them fitted here as the GT seats should be going. Surprised I bought some so soon but I had bride envy lol
-
Makes me think, is there really that many things that are really heavy that you can change without having an unbearable daily driver? I know Bonnets are quite heavy, wings are reasonably light, and my GT bootlid feels quite light? Wheels could be changed I guess but is there really that much more you can do without going crazy?
-
Odd it's showing up for me? Will have a look now!
-
Hahahahaha! We get some proper sheds at my gym need to take photos next time but for now this shall suffice. At least he acknowledges the stereotype
-
Picked these bad boys up yesterday Got the rear seats too and all the Evo door cards, the latter of which will be sold on and the rear seat fabric used to retrim mine! For now they'll be going in the NA as I need to sell on the GT seats that are in there and then the Recaros will be swapped into the GT in the summer Amjad

Helps publicity I guess being banned lol

Very clean! Shame the fogs have been sprayed (?) though! Japspeed is a copy of Blitz and is decent pootling around and loud on boost
-
I thought it was rapid heating and cooling that cracked manis? There's quite a lot of people that run wrapped manis but I guess you could ask whoever supplied the mani and see what they say Decat should be fine really mine is braced it's the non braced ones that can crack even unwrapped Looks like it's gone up a bit in price />http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Meter-Heat-Wrap-Exhaust-Downpipe-High-Temp-Insulating-Manifold-Rap-Tape-/280921398111?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4168385b5f

Your car is crazy though Alex I used Ebay stuff, £5 per 10M. Used 30M for a 2.25" decat and Japspeed system. You should probably do the mani though too

That is an amazing colour in the metal
