Good to hear this. Every company has a few problems, it's how you go about making them right and sorting them and looking after the customers :-)

Got a few mates who work for companies who have dsv's as well. Although I would love a 3 & 3 as deck crew. Decent enough money and no pressure. And half the year off! Your birds old man would be the dive super I imagine. I assume he was a sat rat before aye?

Yeah anything subsea is usually expensive. I'd love to get into sat but I have heard the courses are like 40k plus! I was on a dsv and speaking to the dive super, he was saying that best way to get into sat is become a rigger and get some qualifications while working then since you have a good record as deck crew they would be likely to give you a shot at sat.

Yeah, basically as a welder you will know about metals so helps and you know a good weld! I got into it by chance, started off in accounts lol but now I'm mostly onshore and stuck behind a desk which is shit.

Not a bad trade to help get offshore, can be a welder or a lot of welders seem to work in ndt as it is part of the same field like. I work in ndt at the moment.

I know what you mean. And that's just for the basic minimum ones, for training in a certain field can be big numbers! What do you work as at the moment?

I work offshore and in my opinion it's a lot of who you know, not what you know. Also a lot of people I know who work offshore had no offshore qualifications and their company put them through the courses. My company did for me.

Could always be a genuine bargain, but with how fast it's moving hands and how long it took to sell, alarms bells would be ringing to me.

I don't think the problems having happened is the main issue, problems happen. It's how they look after the customer that matters. It is a tough situation for both sides though. Kind of like if you buy a part with a warranty, they wouldn't pay the cost of fitting and removing it if you get me. Also the traveling is why I would be looking at more local traders now a days.

I remember Chris was thinking of making these as a p&p unit. Would be a good thing to sell I think as good price tag and can do many many things on them.
