You'll find you can actually take it to a small claims court, I did when I bought a corsa gsi a couple of years ago. Car was low mileage, been promised the cam belt had been done, ended up snapping about two weeks and 40 miles later. Phoned the guy and he said sold as seen, but wasnt stated on the receipt, ended up taking it to a small claims court who pursued the claim, ended up coming away with a reconditioned engine fitted, plus £200 in expenses/loss of earnings lol. I'd threaten to take it to a small claims court, regardless if it was sold as seen. DId you get a receipt stating sold as seen with a signature on it? You bought the car in good faith that it was in good working order. Day

Jeez, get a load of us to come up, strip it bare, cut the shell up and leave it for the scrappies to collect lol. Grind the numbers off of course:) End of the day, the car is rightfully yours, what you wish to do with it whilst it is still yours is upto you. If you strip it to a bare shell and leave it there isnt illegal. They can only take away what is actually there. Day

My advice, hide the car away from the house, mate was in a similar situation, police wanted to take the car, luckily enough I used my garage to hide it. They were intent on taking the car so in the end we stripped it to a bare shell (was rusty anyway). We then let the police take away what was left. Never heard anything more of it after that Day

You'll find the 1.6 accelerates way faster than the 1.8. The 1.8 is just so boring and slow, atleast with the 1.6 it will rip better:D Day

Wouldnt worry about it, chances are the bits will either be in the sump, oil pickup or filter. Day

Would be way too expensive to make one, cheaper to buy something like that Day
