you probably can but when the last owner of my car fitted the exhaust he rivited the shield back in place, and it wouldn't move! so it had to come off!
-
when i changed my cables i removed my heatshield, easy job tho.
-
thats exactly how i do it as well micky, i make sure i fill in the details of the purchase along with my name and address. if its something that i have bought off someone on here i pm them with the same message that i leave in paypal, just to be sure.
-
only just seen this thread. hope they both get recovered soon. he ain't havin the best of years really. hope you keep us all updated.
-
its the spec 2 that you would need for loudness!!! however, as far as i know it is still out of stock with BuddyClub UK (due to poor fitment quality) best bet would be to either get one that has come off a car or try BuddyClub themseves (they quoted me about £550 for the exhaust and fitting, but this was a while ago) failing that, you could get a custom exhaust made to a similar spec.

have known a lot of people with them on VW's, it is very much a Euro thing. not a fan at all!
-
same as me then mate although i ain't found any tsrlet related awesomeness today!
-
thats awesome! where the hell did you find that??
-
am sure i've seen good nick 4efte's with average miles going for around the £400 mark, or as Glanza-Love says, maybe look into rebuilding engines to make yourself a bit of cash.

welcome to the site dude.
-
^^^ honestly dude? i have no idea!!! have had a quick look through TGTT and a lot of people have used a powder coated rocker cover so my guess is that it would stand up to the heat pretty well, but that is only a guess :harhar:
-
that ain't me dude. don't get over to york that much (even tho its 15 mins away) trying to keep the car under wraps til its finished! i know a lass that lives near me who works in york, she may know who it is. as for the paint i'm sure there will be somewhere that sells it in tins. maybe try a smaller car place? sorry i can't be more of a help!
-
you could maybe use the heatproof paint as a primer? not sure if that would work tho........
-
i think you can get it from halfrauds, i work in a motor factors and that where we send people for the heatproof paint. shame we don't supply it really.
-
if it has to go it may as well go with a bang! ouch!
-
use a heat proof primer, spray your normal paint over that the finish with a heat proof lacquer. that should protect the paint from the heat. opinion is divided on this subject, some people can and do just use normal paint and never have any trouble, but i've known this to blister and react badly to the heat. i would always recommend using the method i mentioned, just so you have some form of protection.
-
same here also! on my car there was a faint outline of the original stickers (due to sun slightly fading the paint) and the ones off Ebay are exactly the same! superb quality.
-
looks sweet dude. checked it out on pistonheads liked the look of it then. glad its gone to someone on here

personally i have never bought anything from monster motorsport but i have spoken to mike and he is incredibly helpful, and i know a few people that have been in to get things fitted and they can't praise them enough! i would be more than happy to use them for anything for my Glanza
-
might make an appearance this year, if the Glanza is ready that is!
-
i bought my Glanza without the rear installed!! have all the bits to put it back but have no need for it, no-one goes in the back of the car and the noise doesn't really bother me tbh. give it a go and see how you get on, can always put it back in if you change your mind.

would probably be up for that dude. i live bout 15 mins from york so not that far for me -
to be honest if u ain't bothered about havin a branded system it would be easier to get a custom system made. after all the spec 2 is basically just a straight pipe with a couple of resonators which would be fairly simple to get made. think that may have to be looked at in the very near future.
-
i'm looking at getting a custom system made up similar to the spec 2. think they are still unavailable for starlets tho. but they are a real nice system! a mate had one on his ek9- loudest exhaust i ever heard!!
-
i would personally use double sided tape. tiger seal is good for sideskirts but on the lights i wouldn't reccommend it, will probably ruin your light if you decide to take them off! DST will work a treat and hold them on very well
