x2. always better to save up until you can afford it. cheaper in the long run
-

looking pretty good mate. splitter just gives it that little edge, like it
-
thats a pretty crazy video. lots of interesting ways to hurt yourself!

i never even looked at a turbo car til i was 21! wasn't prepared to spend that much on insurance! a lot of people tried to get me to buy a Glanza and insure it as a standard 1.3 starlet, but that was never gonna happen. so i just waited, built up my no claims and got myself a Glanza once i could afford it. took me a while but its worth the wait!
-
this is your best bet. rather than blow a load of cash on insurance you could easily build yourself a nice n/a until you can afford to insure a turbo. may not be what you want to hear but its probably gonna be the best in the long run
-
congratulations on a well deserved win mate! awesome car

i do like the GT4's, my mate had one for a while and it was a nice motor! but i would never choose one over a Glanza!! stick with your Glanza and get to your 400bhp goal

can you get anything behind the heat shield near to the rivets?? if you can get behind it then try and lever it off you should be able to shift it.
-
nope did it with the exhaust in place. can you see anything that is holding the shield on??? or will it not move at all? mine would move and it took a bit of forcing but it came off pretty easily.
-
mine was rivited on! had to force it but it came off in then end. once you get that off its pretty straight forward. you will be able to see how its fitted on once the heat shield is off. can't exactly remember what it looks like though
-
thanks enzo, was gonna pm you but decided to put the thread up first!! well i should be getting the turbo fitted by Nick @ TD if all goes to plan so that shouldn't be an issue! thanks again for all your help guys, can't believe how quickly you managed to answer my question! its put my mind at rest anyways
-
thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it
-
so everything else is the same on the exhaust side then?? i'm was just a bit worried that i'd get the exhaust done then find the turbo wouldn't fit!! but if it is the same then will get the exhaust sorted asap! thanks micky mate thanks kyran

Right I have recently bought a CT9 Hybrid off another member over on TGTT, and i am needing some information if anyone can help! I am getting a custom exhaust built and the guy thats doing it has suggested getting the turbos swapped over before he does the exhaust, as he isn't sure if the fitment will be the same when the exhaust is connected up?? I thought the Hybrid ct9 was a straight swap for the standard ct9 (obviously you need the corect mods) but other than that fitment is the same???? If anyone can help that would be great.

yeah i am expecting a bit of attention. the car doesn't come out all the time so shouldn't attract too much attention from the feds! will have to wait and see though
-
thats been a great help mate! thanks for that. well as i have been unable to find a Buddy Club for the Glanza i went to see an exhaust fabricator at the weekend and he can do me a similar set up to that of the buddy club for a bargain price!
