  1. Adrian flux, Quinn direct or Heritage insurance. They are the best with competitive rates. It will state Toyota starlet turbo in most model classification toolbars. Always give the insurers a call to clarify what the car is really though. If not, GO COOOMMMPAAAREEE lol
  2. ACE Buddy
  3. One of the best drivers alive. The Ferrari is fast but not fast enough to equal the time he did 10 years ago in an AE 86.(3'26") Tsuchiya got me into jap cars
  4. Ah Thats my lil secret Dale. And as they all say lol '' on private roads of course '' hahaha
  5. Another great project on the way i see. Crack on matey. Lets get the best out of the 4E first i reckon.
  6. I would love to be a kid again . So from time to time i get the toys out to put me in the playful mood but luckily they turned up to be real cars.
  7. Someone once said and i love this quote '' i was a rich man until one day i bought a pulsar '' So make sure you're ready for it when time comes. It is an awesome ride to have and was one of my dream cars. Patience is a great virtue my friend!!! All the best
  8. Yoooh 7 grand for insurance??? Thats crazy! i'm happy being far up the 25 age group lol. Yep matey on the forum + gtir modifiers as well.
  9. Hey people, sup Been a while on the forum so i think i should upload some updates. Had quite a few cars for the last 10 years and apart from starlets( The Gt turbo and the ep 91 n/a ) i do have have 2 faithful prides on the drive. They get driven once in a blue moon though. Here they are, and i wont mention the make and models, just guess what they are and put your own comments. lol My monster 4wd Mods: 17" OZ alloys Fully rebuild and forged engine Bigger turbo GT3071 Hks Fuel controller Apexi Front mounted intercooler and pipework Apexi induction kit custom with custom turbo hard pipe kit Custom front pipe Nismo manifold Mongoose de cat AP Racing clutch HKS Headgasket Skimmed & rebalanced flywheel Front and rear TAROX 6 pot Grooved discs Tein superstreet coilovers Cobra bucket seats Momo steering wheel short shift kit with nismo gear knob .....Ah too much to list. In other words, i love this car and last year did only about 300 miles in. Running about 420 BHP at 1.6 bar, can go more but enough down london and will eat almost any skyline anytime any day. A Glanza( Lovely greyish blue) went for it at a traffic light down southend back in July 09 and made me open the old bird. He was in front for about 2 seconds as i wasnt expecting he would go for it before i catched up and with the power that was coming his way i saw his car dangling on the lane when i passed him. Glanza was a spot in the rear view mirror after that. If you do find this thread and recognise who you are, please tell us your experience. My old bad boy : Blitz induction kit Customised decat with Remus back box. Momo steering wheel TRD gear knob Sigma cat1 immobiliser Everything else is all standard. This is a great classic with the legendary red top engine. I had big plans for it,that is turbo etc etc but i realised it would be better leaving it all standard as they are nowhere to be found unabused. Most of them have been in the hand of chavs and boyracers. I know its a rare to find ride and unfortunately got broken into quite a few times, hence getting the immobiliser fitted. Bodywise its not the best but planning for a restoration project soon. I use to drive this car everyday and got fed up of it being broken into all the time,so now just drive it from time to time to places where its safe to park, basically at friend's places with garage facilities I just love it when it goes in the 7000 rpm range. Comments welcome and will try to upload more updates and pictures when the weather clears up. Thanks

    Anti-rattle?

I did mine with some floor underlay from homebase. about 40 quid for 10 sq metre. Its the light one which looks like a rubber mat but is completely of foam and one side self adhesive. Really good stuff, i have a quiet and sound proof car rear and when the bass kicks in,its just boom boom boom without any rattling:)) Loving it.
  11. Save up and get a 4EFTE dropped in.
  12. Dont worry about it mate. They cant do anything. Just give the cops a briefing about the situation if you are concerned about your mum. Ignore their text and dont waste your time on them,at the end of the day they are chavs,so very very immature in their small head. Get me! There's a saying: "There are many who talk on from ignorance rather than from knowledge, and who find the former an inexhaustible fund of conversation." Do not text back anymore.
  13. Do you have any movies of how it drives and handles with the standard 4AGE? Pm me links dziękuję
  14. cześćVery nice conversion if you could pm me more details about the chassis welding about how to convert so that engine fits within the engine mounts i would appreciate. I have been thinking of this conversion for a long time and finally got the cars to make it. Just bought an MR2 with the 4AGE as spares and the sportif already had the engine removed. Dzięki
  15. Hey mate, i'm in London. Drop me a pm. Got a mechanic who can sort out all your mods Korek sa
  16. Does your car have the same power when you go on high boost? If yes, then its not the Turbo. If it rattles a bit but still pushing the same kind of power then its something internal from the engine(piston rings etc). If the car heats up quicker than normal(the water temp gauge getting close to H),then it is the head gasket. Hope this helps.
  17. Head gasket gone matey
  18. Agreed !!! Want to make an SR fast, then change its heart:))
  19. Lol how about mine mate. It's got all the bits even cobra bucket seats with low mileage and only 750!!! I think I need to put the price up lol. Got 4 viewers coming through this week end though
  20. I'm signing on time attack next season. So project starting this winter and asap. I will stick with my rules on how to make it good for the track. But will definitely change engine. 4AGE ) Watch out in the ep91 n/a build section lads. Another death machine coming your way:)
  21. Did you check compression on each cylinder? Might be engine issue or ECU or plugs or turbo or actuator or boost or fuel cut or ..... Can be anything really. That's the thing when fitting another engine, unless its guaranteed otherwise always expect something after fitting. Put it back to standard and see how it goes.
  22. Here is mine for this month.
  23. Hmmm, so by the advice of everyone, I am figuring out that you can have fun in any standard car ! I never saw myself running a standard car on the track so far. It might be just me but I hate having to work out understeer and oversteer while trying to beat my own time on every lap. My ways of seeing a track is to get your wheels on it and show it how you own this place )) I have fun when I know I'm putting good times in every lap without the risk of getting off the track or brakes gone! If you are here to learn the tracks, then try driving experiences instead that they offer where you'll get a feel of how your car should behave. Don't go there standard to end up damaging your ride. It you want to be on the track, you need a track weapon. Know wat I mean.
  24. Basic rules for a good ride on the track: 1.Good suspension set up: Coilovers ( lowering a car is not enough) Anti roll bars, drop links Strut braces,Rear + Front 2. Brakes : Bigger front brakes ( Preferably both Grooved and drilled discs) red stuff pads recommended. 3.Controlling power over weight: Power to weight ratio: Adjust the power to the weight of your car while cornering. In other words, learn to control the throttle on corners without losing the back end 4. Bucket seats to keep you steady and focused on your driving without worrying of being thrown from left to right. 5. Safety harnesses: i.e helmet, belts, fire extiguisher and a fuel cut set up in case of a crash. 6.Tyres made for the track !!! You dont want to be blowing tyres all over the track. It's not a drift circuit Lol,thats all i can remember for the time being. Have fun on the track also means be safe to other users, thus all these set ups i guess.
  25. It's at the same place for all ep82 and ep91. It's not recommended to play with the idle valve though! I would advice you to check the engine mounts instead and change those ignition leads and spark plugs
