ladies and Gentlemen, we have an MOT! yeah baby! got my car back! big big thanks to Alan E and Joel for all their work! cheers lads!!!! got some blue silicone bulb covers off ebay, fitted one to the illuminated ignition barrel, and gonna get the SR cluster circuit board swapped over soon to fix that up nicely. B-Pillar bars are ready at Jays - score. currently running OEM...yes...OEM...headlight bulbs that are truly fugly. I have decided not to waste money on HIDs again, they are too difficult to get a pattern from for MOT, so i think some nice bulbs will just do rightly, plus, uber cheap

incorrect. i only changed his display name, not his sign-in details, those will remain the same. Phil.

no PM received, but thread spotted. i'll do it now. Phil.

the ebay link david posted?? those ones man?? whats your opinion of the whiteness/colour of them dude?? are they a smart looking bulb/light? Phil.

bear in mind that Joz spent alot of time, effort and money trying to get the most out of his 5E including management and ITBs and making her high compression. i'd ask him and Jay what their feelings on it revving out were, they'll give u their honest experiences. i dont think it went to 9k tho from what i recall. Phil.

i cant confirm that later spec calipers will fit a 96 man, I've never tried it myself. im sure it could be done, but hopefully someone on here who may have done it will see this thread. Phil.

it wasn't that Military life wasnt for me dude, it was simply that Fighter Controller wasn't. I wanted to be a pilot and refused to settle for anything else. i did contemplate a couple of other RAF role options, but in the end, university called me. i do those things because it is something that I experiences doing as a young kid. i went to many of the Normandy sites with my dad from the age of 10 or so. maybe younger, i dont recall. then i did a WW1 trip with the school. we have family friends in Normandy, and everytime we go over we try to get to Ranville cemetery to lay flowers for William

ah i see. didnt know there were brake differences between the 3 and 5 doors, learn something new every day! the ones in that ebay link are the same as came on my 1998 EP91. Phil.

oh, the 5efhe idea then. havnt seen one of those for sale in some time. didn't Joz have to convert his 5EFE to 5EFHE???? Phil.
-
i'd say possibly not if the pad is a much different shape. the earlier EP91s had different calipers to the later spec ones (1998 onwards) which had the same calipers as the glanzas. for the price of EBC or even blueprint oem replacement pads i wouldnt be fitting pre-used pads anyways man. why bother. Phil.

150bhp from an S 4efe. NOS i assume? Phil.

my bad Gaz man, i misinterpreted what u meant. they should maybe be given ALL the facts before they sign on the dotted line, but then i guess, in any theatre of operations, the facts can change by the day or indeed by the hour. i nearly joined the RAF when i was younger, was offered Fighter Controller but turned it down. watching alot of the WW2 movies in all their gory detail, and having been to many of the French and Belgian (and even the odd German) site, I often wonder would I have been able to take it, to stick it, to keep going, to even put one foot in front of the other. I was at Pega

hmmmmm...its something VERY crisp white that i want, otherwise with the crystal front lights it'll look wank in my car. Phil.

and thats the benefit of UKSC, being free to openly express your opinions, so fair play to u Gaz sir. what i would disagree with is your comment that basic infantry men are thick, that, i will not agree with. I have friends in Afgan, and they are far from daft. however, it is not something i wish to debate. thanks for sharing your opinions gaz man! please feel free to continue the discussion folks, i like how it hasn't turned into a slag fest of any kind. Phil.

f**kin awesome pics! i totally agree with micky, get that one in for POTM! Phil. -
^^^i spent £16 on a set of HID Look bulbs about 2 18months ago, wasn't impressed as they were too yellow for me, i have the crystal front lights in mine. i'm after something purely white, with the crystals it needs to be to look good, so im thinking the ones david posted could be the way forward! Phil.
