  4. Sparky didnt rate his either if i remember correctly. Phil.
  5. been saying this for some time man, the nature of our 1.3s lend themselves so well as an intro platform to performance motoring as they can be relatively easily insured by young drivers and are not too hard on the pockets, which is why our demographic is unlikely to ever change a massive amount and we'll never really have the financial resources of some of the other clubs like SXOC or the Scoob guys - to own and run those cars u would need typically (before Rubix shouts at me, i say again, typically) deeper pockets, and those that can afford such things can afford to cover large hired industrial marquee set-ups such as we witnessed at JAE this year, its just the nature of the beast that is finance. i have absolutely no doubt tho that we can continue to grow and develop to the best of our abilities, we are a resourceful bunch as has been proven many times, and i think with Rob and Amy at the helm and yourself helping out John that the UKSC presence at JAE is only ever going to get bigger and better. Phil.
  6. but my car had an airbag as standard...does that not matter?? link me buddy! Phil.
  7. day dreaming my ass. you sir, are bang on the money, as Rob and Amy agree. Phil.
  8. yeah man, i aint too pissed because its two daft things that should be fairly easily sorted, nothing major was detected so pretty chuffed, obv the engine is fine. Phil.
  9. dangnabit this is going to prove obnoxious i can just tell. Phil.

  13. fantastic! love late spec Vs! illuminated ignition surround and passenger airbag, nice options! Phil.
  14. NI online bookings FTW! Phil.
  15. lol at Ryan. Liam - no brakes werent tightened up this year, i'm gonna see a dude in Larne (makes me ill even typing that) about doing that, i reckon the handbrake cables need tightened, should solve it. just thinking this morning, probably not clever to be doin 70miles for headlight alignment with the bearing hanging out, think i'll have to eave the lights til after Alan has a look at the bearing. retest is booked for next saturday. oh, the joys. Phil.
  16. damn. Phil.
  17. i take it back, i just read the notice of refusal...seems my drivers headlight failed on the "break point" what ever that is. so, hopefully tuesday nite its gonna have to go to...eeuuggghhhhh....Larne, to have that looked at, and wednesday nite Alan's seeing it for the bearing. bearing in mind this is the first MOT since the conversion, its a good sign that the engine passed no bother! Phil.
  18. NO! the GTs can do it! there must be a way of doing it on the 91s! how did Joz do it?? JOZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phil.
  19. om nom nom...whats that I taste?? oh, that'd be the taste of an MOT failure!!!! nice!!!! damn car! turns out one of the wheel bearings is being a wanker for no reason as it was recently replaced. ah well, hopefully a simple fix with a spanner! gonna book the retest for ASAP before my mum kills me for taking her Alfa to work everyday lol! the only other problem was that there is a really bad imbalance in the rear brakes which i dont understand as she has just had new brake lines and pads all round. i can only assume its the cables???? anyone know?? he managed to pass her for me on those, but the wheel was physically loose, so he had to fail her which is perfectly understandable, he didnt moan about anything else, not even the oil weep which was probably dripping on his face. so, retest required. nice. Phil.
