the difficulty i always found over here is that folk tend to lurk in the shadows, read the odd forum post, and never come to meets etc. i mean, the number of EPs that show up to Jay's that are even new to him is mad. for some reason meets / shows here just aren't massively attended by the local EP owners. even our biggest meets in the past have never drawn a fraction of the EPs that reside over here. by all means dude we can get a poll going yeah. if i ever get mine back on the road i imagine it'd be Japdreamz i'd be with at shows at the mo, really sound bunch of lads. been harrassing poor Joel again recently so we'll see if we can get her moved soon dude! Phil.

I used to have one which I then gave to Rob. Problem is, NI members dont attend shows as a club. never have. and the proof of this is that at yesterday's Ballymena Autofest which is arguably the largest show over here and had a MONSTER turn out yesterday, there were TWO starlets, only one of which is a UKSO car (Crooks). The other was an EP70, and there wasnt a single other EP in sight. however, should this look set to change if someone wants to take on the task of harrassing the shit out of our NI members to get stands orgainsed for shows over here, then i totally agree that we c -

they're not sellotaped on lol. isnt that a track day rule that lights are taped up, meaning if they get broken they dont shatter all over the track? Phil.
-
not convinced they're the same car tbh, different colour, different rear lights, mirrors could possibly be different. could be wrong though. Phil.

that dash carpet is sexy! GLWTS dude! Phil. -
you did, however i think we were outbid on it. or it was too pricey in the end. the weird thing is, i've picked up some of these EL1 gauges for like £45. the oil pressure one looks like it is going to insist on stinging me around £150. damn thing! Phil.
-
welcome Martin! GLS looks super clean!!! nice purchase!!! Volvo looks great! having a clean daily is the way forward! Phil.
-
3 days??? lol and i'm sure most of it was non-senscial jibber jabber too lol!!!!! thanks for reading though dude! no updates i'm afraid, its still stuck at my parents' house and i still cant find an oil pressure gauge to complete the set. Phil.

Bens Glanza V end of the line!
Nanglebadger replied to Glanza-Ben's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
oh my! those are delicious! Phil. -
i guess thats possible, both cars are pretty local, in that everywhere in NI is local to everywhere else in NI its so small lol. definitely some similarities between them thats for sure dude. Phil.
-
nope, this is a different car. pretty frightening tbh. although i kinda like the giant toyota emblem on the bootlid. Phil.
-
getting a response to that was like shooting fish in a barrel. too easy lol. i do enjoy a bit of afternoon banter. "unique", perhaps. "pure SR", debatable. die hard EP enthusiast, undeniable that you are. does our forum have any 100% purists? only one that I know of, and he's an interesting man from The Costa Del Vogie with a Show Room Spec build. Only "purist" I've met in 8 years. point of these posts, none. i was bored in work and thought i'd goad someone into some banter. daniel hit the nail on the head. simple as that. Phil.
-
its not "purists" doing all the shouting though. a true EP "purist" wouldnt turbo an SR. ergo, it aint EP purists giving off. i say rat the f**k out of it. dump it on steels, RUSTY steels, obnoxious exhaust, and a roof rack with a rusty old bike on it. f**k it. do it! Phil.

aye rob showed me the 5/4s! bargain! those are handsome as fuck too! not to everyones tastes, but i'd wear those on mine any day! Phil.
