I just finished stripping a ep82, complete strip down and there alot of places for water to get into ! old seals,bungs.. i think they get hard over time and split or crack and then the flood starts
good job, commonly happens when people wash the engine bay but usually the rota arm and dizzy cap hardly been change in its life so its a must (to change it) if of owning a gt/glanza
cylinder leak down test if you or your mate has one ? agree with Stu... head off and just pull the piston out, most likely if it is bad then it will fall apart in your hand when pulled out, happened to my mates ep
for the time and effort and costs, stick a 4efte in , been down that road and its all fun in the beginning but in the end the boost is the best bang for buck !
you lost me on the second sentance Stu... when you coming to england for a short term holiday you can try install it on mine lol just about managed to wire up the 5efhe in me n/a and after that i wouldnt want a long wiring job again for a long while lol
i was thinking it would be more accurate and can be fine tuned rather then the stock trigger which is in the dizzy on the head just like most new cars, cam sensor, crank sensor
seen a few members run the coil on plug set up is it worth it and is the tooth and trigger required on the main crankshaft pulley or do peops use the sprocket with the earlier oil pump ?
