how are you increasing the fuel, for the higher level of boost? seems you could do with a uprated pressure regulator. as when i had the safc, im sure it was increase the fuel pressure via a regulator and/or pump, and then use the safc2 to trim the fueling back a little?? i know its prob not the problem, as it seems to be the fcd, but its something for you to look into

to be honest, if i wer to mod it, i would just sell it on afterwards, i know you loose money when you mod, and that i wouldnt get my money back, and that would be reflected i nthe price, the car already stands me 5g with a new paint job, brakes alround, 4 services in 6km's lol, so i know i will loose money on it, but that dont really bother me too much, as i know thats the game we all play. rather loose it on my car than in the pub and having a beer gut.

looking for some advice, of what others would do, in my shoes. i have 3 options in my head. with regards to my car/new car. this is my situation, i work offshore, so will be landing next week some point, and will spend 7 weeks on land, before i go off again, for another 7, and back, and so on. at the minute, i have quite a list on my license of convictions, but end of this month, i will have only CD30, thats 4 years gone, but most insurance ask 5 years??? and will have 2yrs ncb by august, been driving 8 years this week. 1. keep my car, and put a few grand into performance(as im quite bored

do you have any idea of the condition of the running gear? i believe the 85 stuff is hard to get from toyota now? oh, and ive sent you a few pms before out importing things, and youve not replied to any of them.

maybe one ringland with a small crack might not show a massive difference, but ringlands failed, more than one, i would guarantee it will show down on compression, which ring is it in your pic? i cant tell from it being fuzzy, and did only one come out like that. what youve pictured would show a drop in compression.

take the dipstick out, see if it feels like there is a pressure coming out, that will tell you if your rings are passing, and its pressurising the crankcase. is your dump v/v exit clean, and not covered in oil? how is your catch can setup? should be via the pcv, and the breather pipe from the original recirc valve. i would think your catch can is plummed in wrong, and this is your problem

sorry mate, but i dont believe if a piston came out with damaged ringlands, that there was no obvious notice in compression test. i would bet that a comp test will show ringlands everytime. especially since yours came out in "bits". sparky, surely the rings would have to be lyin in the sump before you would notice play in the pistons? and even if the ringlands had gone, the ring would still be the part holding the force against the liner. i dont see how you can test ringlands or rings, other than via a compression test, or pulling the pistons out. to the poster-- if you have ringland failur

i would have thought the rings would have been checked when the HG was done, after all, how did you diagnose the HG problem, compression test, so surely there would have been a compression test done once the new HG was fitted?

its my opinion on the AA rip off merchants, wihtout even seing where your from, i could have guessed it, english people always seem to be offended by that word. nah, apparently it was £6 a month for the first 12, then the offer ended, i went up to the normal prce (they sent a letter, but dont know where, cus im always offshore lol) but now its down, and im getting refunded for the time its been £11 a month, so next 5 months are free or summit. still covered, so if i break down i'll be on the fone haha

naw lol, foned my mum, she told me i have a car, had it since jan last year or summit, never noticed them cunts taking money oota the bank. says it says roadside relay on my card, but ive checked the website, and roadside relay is £69 im offshore, so cant go into my bank to cancel the DD, plus if i cancel it, without telling them, they will leave it a few months, then bill me for a lot more. gunna try get them foned up. fuck payin that, my car is in a garage haha
