Hi all, As some may know we have been developing dog engagement straight cut gear sets for both the C52 and C56 gearboxes (EP82 GT and EP91 Glanza V). These will provide maximum reliability for those with constant gearbox problems. Starlet 4efte gearboxes are a notorious weak point. They are perfectly good gearboxes when considering a stock car, as soon as you begin to push the limits they begin to ware very quickly. Whether you have a 200hp Starlet or a 400hp Starlet the box won't last forever and can be very costly to replace with OEM parts, more in fact than our gear sets. If you drive hard then this time scale will be seriously reduced. If you attend regular track days/qtr miles events then you will be well aware of the problems the boxes can cause. We know some of the high HP lads are going through gearboxes on a weekly basis so we hope this will answer your problems! The main advantages of these TT kits will be: - Straight cut gears to minimise power losses - Dog Engagement for maximum durability/strength to withstand your punishment! - Massive increase in shifting/gear changing time aiding accelerator and times - Options for both short and long ratio pending needs - Preciously made billet gears made to the highest standard - Involute gear tooth profiles optimised for each gear - Precise case hardening and shot peening - Complete kits with gears, hubs, shafts, fork, final drive and a direct fit to the C52/C56 Box - Specifically designed for the Starlets not a borrowed/copied design - Long term piece of mind for those replacing gearboxes after every event! We have designed two types of gear set, one short ratio gear set designed for the less powerful Starlets who need quicker acceleration for track days with a greater torque band to get you ahead of the field (3rd, 4th and 5th), without breaking gears from excessive hard driving. These are ideal for anyone running sub 250hp but each application will be different pending needs. The second gear set is a longer ratio set designed for the higher HP lads running from 250hp to 500hp. Traction, wheel spin, constant gear changing and gear damage can be a major problem when running high HP especially on the qtr mile/circuit. Fourth gear will see up to 160mph meaning you won't be shifting through the finish line aiding times immensely. Another key feature is gear changing time, these gear sets will allow for rapid shifting increasing acceleration tremedously. The strength and durability of these gears is top of the line meaning you can finally remove the notorious weak point. Each set will include 1st - 4th Dog Engagement Billet Straight Cut Gears which will also include the crown wheel and pinion. For 5th gear we can supply a Syncro Billet gear or a Dog Engagement Billet. We will be using a Syncro Billet 5th gear to give you some idea on what is needed, we don't feel the need for a dog 5th but it's totally up to you. Features of our gear sets include billet material of the highest quality, the latest involute gear tooth profiles optimised for each gear, turning and gear cutting on state of the art and sophisticated Mori Seiki/Liebherr CNC machines and very precise case hardening and shot peening as part of our normal production process. To give you an idea we have listed the terminal speeds of both sets, obviously this will differ slightly pending your own car/setup but this will give you a good idea. If you require exact ratios please ask, we would rather not post them here to avoid copying as these setups are very unique and have taken a long time: Short Ratio: 1ST - 53.72 MPH 2ND - 72.04 MPH 3RD - 95.33 MPH 4TH - 114.11 MPH 5TH - 133.62 MPH Long Ratio: 1ST - 50.43 MPH 2ND - 78.96 MPH 3RD - 115.80 MPH 4TH - 161.17 MPH 5TH - 183.93 MPH Obviously this will differ depending on RPM limit, tire size, differential ratio etc but that will give you a good idea on what can be achieved. We will be doing a group buy on these with around a 10% saving. We are hoping to keep these under £2900.00 inc VAT, the Quaife Dog Engagement sets for the Corolla (not available for Starlets) are just over £3500.00 inc VAT and based on an exchange basis where as there are new sets, we don't require your box. These are also a direct fit and won't need modifications to the housing like the Quaife kits. These offer a nice saving for the same durability and benefits, with the added advantage with being specific for the Starlets. We will let you know how it all goes and start a GB as soon as we can as I know a few of you have been desperate for these. Hi all, Right finally are new poly engine mount inserts are nearing completion, give me a few more weeks to test on the car but all is going well and we should be able to get the group buy going very soon! As you all know the only engine mounts currently available are TRD and OEM Toyota. The TRD ones are good but are still rubber at the end of the day. The mounts are subject to a lot of abuse especially when considering the more spirited driver These new Toy Tuning Engine Mounts will replace the rubber bushes with PolyUrethane, a much stronger and more durable material. These will reduce weight transfer of the engine improving torque, traction and engine response. Whilst these will increase vibration this won't be a worry for most. These will be suitable for all Starleteers regardless of power. Ideally you want to replace all three although replacing the g/box mount alone will make a massive difference as this mount sees more stress than the other two. These will be well priced and will make a cost effective alternative to the TRD's. Anyhow a quick picture for you, hopefully this will make Riko and the rest of you very happy finally no more engine mount woes!! We will update you asap with final progress. Best Regards, Toby

Not 100% on TRD, there bars take us around 4 weeks to get in from them but I can sure ask, don't think they will do them separate though as there are slight variations in links. Are you running a TRD bar now Si? Can you take a pic of the ends for me where the drop links attach as there are two variatons in links. Thanks, T

Mark what BC Coilovers are they Junior Spec? I'm surprised you can only get 1 degree of neg camber, we can get up to 3 degrees neg with our Teins and Cuscos. Ideally you can just buy the Whiteline ARB which comes with the drop links rather than mating them up with a stock front ARB. The Whiteline units also have poly D bushes which saves buying those as well. Rear arms are really easy Si you don't need a hyd press for these. Nothing like the front lower arm bushes to fit! T

Yeah we wanted a specific rim, each ones is custom made depending on spec so they take a long long time. We are developing steering racks with poly bushes as well. We've just bought Steves old KP as well so we may bring that to JAE, other one won't be ready having cage made as we speak Tobs

Hi Adz, Adam has updated your order via the site, we were refurbing the website last week and Adam was away so had to man the ropes. We have been trying to stock K Sport coilovers for a long time, we made a order of 20 sets 6 months ago, they were promised 2 months later still nothing. To avoid a silly weight we ordered yours separately thinking they would be quick, they told us 4 weeks 6 weeks ago, we've just phoned and they assured us they will be at your door in two weeks. It's really frustrating as it looks bad on us when suppliers let us down, it happens all the time so infuriating. We are going to send you a set of Reservoir Covers and two sets of Toy Tuning lanyards (one for you and the lady) as a good will gesture for the wait. I do apologise I know how annoying it can be as we have other customers also waiting. The site is fairly new and we are slowly getting to grips, we now have a team of four people (2 on the spanners, 2 on the parts side) so reply times will be down to a day, that is our new guarantee. Hi guys, It's pretty normal to have phone numbers on a label when you deliver items, we use TNT and they automatically print the phone number on the labels. We can get Ad's to remove them from the Royal Mail deliveries. We need your phone numbers for our own security and to contact you if there is a problem. Any good law abiding company will take phone numbers it's part and parcel of any company. IF you have any concerns you can always let us know but we appreciate your thoughts and if needs be we will remove them from RM deliveres but we can't remove them when we use Courier as it automatically does it. If you buy a package from Nengun, RHD, Fensport, SumoPower, Envy etc etc and check the label it will have your number on it, really is nothing out of the norm but if you want to have a chat about anything give us a shout last thing we need is people worrying!
