Rick is totally right, Starlets never came with ARB's as they have unindependant rear axles unlike something like a EK9 which is. These are not the greatest designs for handling and chassis stability but they are cheaper to produce, the Starlet was never intended to be an all out racer but with some time and good thinking you can turn it into one! The WL and your rear ARB's bolt over the rear axle, you have to drill the top chassis beams to fit the bar but it's really not hard nor daunting, the mounting points are small. Hi all, Well it's been a long long wait but are demo no1 wheels are finally here! These have taken over 9 months and are custom made in the states. They use these in the Miata Cup Series over in the USA, each wheel is balanced within 0.005 grams offering near perfect weight distribution. They are 15inch by 9inch, very very wide! They also retain the stock offset. These will give us a much wider track and will be utilised with 25mm hubcentric spacers. We can fit 275/35/15 full slick tires onto these ideal for time attack As some will know these wheels have prevented us from completing the

No that's expected with aircon no worries there! If you let the engine warm with no lights/heaters/electrical drain what RPM do you see? You can raise using the idle screw but if it returns to 400 then I would say the problem was elsewhere, otherwise it could have been altered at some point. Has it always done this or only recent? T

Did you buy the diff from new and was it worn in using the figure of 8 method? In general LSD's can be noisy dependant on type but most buyers never ware then in which means they get really bad. As far as oil type use what the manufacture of the LSD recommends not what a random company recommends. The manufacture will know best T

I would agree on the above you get what you pay for. Some of the hybrids out there are worryingly cheap so please be cautious when buying parts. So many go for the bargains and end up paying twice in the long run when it fails, trust me I have been there and done that! We squeezed 200hp from our units at 1 bar which isn't bad at all. Enzo's units look to be good as well, never seen a Tong Turbo and Speed Visions products speak for themselves As mentioned you pay peanuts you get monkeys, if it's too good to be true then it probably is! 28psi - 32psi should be enough for Proxes, if you plan to get 888 then you can go lower but the original proxe side wall is quite soft so you don't want to go too low unlike the semi slick cousins.. T

You only need a turbo timer is you don't want to sit in the car and wait for the turbo to cool down. If you don't let the oil cool down the turbo can fracture with the heat stress, just needs a few minutes. Or is you calm down for the last 5 mins of driving then you won't even need to wait. We use Sigma on all our imports, good quality, not fancy and does the job. We used to have Cliffords but they caused us nothing but headaches!

As above 3G, 1144 and some braided lines will be more than enough for fast road and the occasional track day. Stock disks and pads on the rear is also fine they have a very minimal rear bias like most FWD cars. You can always chuck in a BMCS for good measure if needed as these will really improve the pedal feel but apart from that you shouldn't need much more, also make sure you bleed the system thoroughly and use Toyota DOT 5.1 T

Not you Rick the guys with stockish cars you need to run a high idle in order to move we run 2000RPM on idle For the others that are not purposefully running a high idle then make sure your throttle body is nice and clean, if you plan to adjust the idle using the screw then make sure the car is warm and the throttle postion sensor is dis-connected, if you adjust it with the TPS it will be unstable again. T

When you alter the idle screw you also effect the base timing, if it's really low or really high then I would say you were only masking the problem. Is your idle effected badly by your lights/heaters or anything else that uses electrical power or is is stable regardless? T

What will your car mainly be used for and do you have an idea on budget? We sell our own 4 pot kits for the front and have 2 pots coming out shortly for the rear. Other than that there is the 3G range which most go for, Mintex 1144 work well with these but again depends what you are looking for. We also sell stock OEM replacements if needed.
