  5. Its in basildon matey. Cheers guys. Once the paint is done can go about fitting the parts and build rear up slowly.
  6. So because of the weather, firework party got cancelled. So i thought sod it, i pop down my unit and crack on painting. Hubs these have not had the final 2 coats or lacquer yet. Finally found a place that shot blasted my cheap for a good price.. Got that back to the workshop and primered it in zinc primer right away.
  7. So had a little bit of time lately.. Ive sent rear beam off for shot blasting. Ive fitted new cv joints, but need take back the inner boots as got na ones not turbo ones. But hubs and steering knuckle have been shot blasted clean. so today ive coated them in primer. Sprayed the expansion tank bracket. So next plan is once rear beam has been blasted, too paint it. Paint hubs and build them up ie fit wheel bearings. And fit right cv boots and fit them. after that attention is on the fibreglass cruise parts.
  8. Can vouch this is a great little runner. And very nippy. Great base for a turbo conversion.
  9. It is true, that japan run a lot stiffer springs.. Abbot what tyre pressures you run? I run same set up as you and found it wasnt too bad but tyre pressures made a noticeable difference.
  10. Haha.. I definately be back in the car soon. Ive booked lydden hill at bhp show already.. We already been looking at shims or a weld on wedge to increase width along with getting camber on rear beam..
  11. Anymore news on rear camber dude? Ive got talk to an old friend of mine who used to do it with hotrod fiestas in superstock.. Cars looking clean as always matey, wont be long and i be joining you on track buddy.
  12. Made a little more progress this weekend. Painted front anti roll bar and fitted that with drop links. Then painted the fuel tank and fitted that as well. next task is to clean the rust off the rear beam and hubs before there painted. Another small step.

  19. I crashed and survived..lol Only thanks to my cage though. With regards to harness securing point the rear of a starlet is weak. So bolting it where rear seats would be is common but not fail safe.. I bolted mine there, but had welded a small harness loop onto my cusco cage. harness bar bar with cage is best solution, but not everyone can afford it. But at least a bucket seat to limit the risk of a broken back on impact as the seat crushes itself with you in it.
  20. Haha.. Omex or aem they love hence y colin maps mine. Im down their every couple weeks.. Know them for years..
