  1. if these aint gone soon russ, I may need to borrow them soon.. maybe nneding these to be sent to cat cams for custom billet cams for new head..
  2. you was convinced hence your for sale thread... but as I pretty much have told you the issue or one of them and most are not expensive to fix.. was to cheap to sell on, so your head told you to carry on.. I fancy a rip up sat night..lol
  3. no mate, takes getting used to as you be used to ABS, I haven't had abs since went omex, as did all the crash removing and wire tuck etc.. if u stamp on them then yea they will lock, but with a smaller pedal movement I find it easier as you don't use as much force on the brake pedal..
  4. thanks bertie.. been a while since I posted.. basically I fitted and bled my brakes with abs removal kit, thanks to russ78, and the brakes are rock solid.. literally have an inch of travel before pedal is rock solid, so suits my delicate braking style very well, but the confidence the brakes now give you is unbelievable..
  5. any local starlets out this weekend?? is their any meets on?
  6. keep up the good work abbott.. looking very nice matey.. Robs just finished my mate Toby's forged 4e.. hope to see you out before end of year before mines hibernates.lol
  7. and I suppose me pushing you not to sell, had nothing to do with it.LOL...
  8. still working on mine.. wont make the cruise.. but will make lakeside later tho.. if anyone fancies meeting up at lakeside message me...
  9. yea dan matey.. as was meant to be closer to Essex, but it does look like its going Bedfordshire way, and its just too far.. as cannot be sure now the CID official money collectors will be their either.
  10. cracking work as usual keith.. keeps me inspired to stick with my glanza.. will be in contact again about headwork keith, just been busy last 4 weeks.. keep it up.
  11. at japfest earlier this year I got 385 miles to a tank and a 1/5.. worked out my average from brim to empty on that journey was 32.5 and I was cruising at 60 and occasionally flooring it as was mapped the night before.. and im on a td05 over 300bhp.lol... since then ive mostly been able to do the 44 mile round trip to a local meet spot on a tenner of v power, and add whatever else if I want to play with boost.LOL.
  12. it sounds like its been moved, but a lot further away then the original location.. so im a maybe..
  13. im out of pre meet too mate. if glanza is road worthy, probs usual sat tbh
  14. if my brake line shows up in time then I be going.. however it looks like I just meet u guys their if im there.
  15. depends what people want to do mate.. its an hour and 15 min drive for me.
  16. sorry to hear about this adam.. ive just had same thing happen to me, but im very lucky that my nan allows me to garage my glanza at hers.. if you were close, you could have stored the shell at mine bud..
  17. float in tank most likely sitting at bottom.. gauge will fine though. you get approx 30 miles when you are on bottom of gauge.
  18. tried doing a ABS delete today.. but it ended in failure, due to a defective brake line, that was leaking internally past the seal. strangle didnt leak past the threads, so nothing i could do to rectify it.. Mike at TD is sending me a replacement out, but due to time contraints it looks like im off road a little earlier then expected.
  19. at the moment im a no, had a brake line issue, and timewise i not got a lot of time to fit any replacement.
  20. I still have this yes.. yes it fits well, this is if a mates old glanza, he used a screw on the pillar, for a secure fitment, you can use decent glue on the top for extra safety as well. this is how dave burwash used to fit them, just put a little screw in the top. screw hole is visible in pictures in top corner. if interested let me know.. starletsportiff your not to far either so could arrange a lakeside pick up or something.
  21. It does appear ive started a trend.lol. Great kits.. No one other then zisco for me now.. Cant fault them.
  22. st 185 and st 165 are same calipers if their twin pots mate.. they re designed the later st185s with the big single pot.
  23. if st185 big single pot, then 1.7tdi astra mk4 discs is what you need, with a spigot ring made to fit, then I think 3mm taken off the back inside edge as well, but not too sure on the latter part.. if st165 twin pots which were fitted to early st185s, then st165 discs re drilled to 4x100 pcd and bolt on..
