I thought they were two different people.. ive met and spoken and bought of Jamie before and never had any issue.. dazza never had dealings with, be strange if they were same person.. -
my omex took me two days to wire in.. it really isn't that hard if you take your time and are careful.. yes a trigger wheel was a pain, so left that to my tuner..

adam is talking sense, as im in the minority of having a standalone on a starlet, i genuinely say power isnt everything.. driveability is the key, and a piggyback will not match a standalone when mapped by a competent tuner...

ive got a zisco one. was one of the first to have one in uk, and was 550 for my kit, but keith did me a deal on shipping as was having few bits done.. and its taken over 300bhp and lots of abuse and not cracked.. in a year so far.

would be nice before I put mine away before crap weather gets here.. just need location, and a date and time..
-
take it you mean carpet?? im taking my front carpet out mate.. more then welcome to have it..
-
I run two sandwich plates.. one for oil temp and pressure.. and then the mocal one with thermostat.. however 95 degrees is a good temp mate.. I have to block my oil cooler off on road, and late autumn early spring track days I block 8 out of the 13 rows off..

cheers gee.. surely not much for an engineer??

if you can afford a billet turbo.. then a standalone isn't that far off in price.. I run a n omex 600 and its 550 pounds if your competent with wiring and maching for a trigger wheel you can do it for a grand.. and any reputable mapper should be able to map omex or aem which is same software.. I went from emu to omex 600, forget outright power, but driveability and control and safety on a standalone is far superior to an EMU..

yes h_d where did you get them from?? PM if you like, but be great for the starlet community to share that info..
-
as some of you may know from my build thread, i am going to build up another head with cams, solid lifters etc over winter.. now i want to convert to headstuds for extra realiability.. so other then re tapping head and block and headgasket, what else is required??

they were done correct.. as done in front of my eyes, and to the arp instructions.. first two went in fine. but third one snapped before torque wrench clicked once 60ft lbs was reached.. sounds like a defective bolt issue to me..

115 is most likely going to be too steep for me at that time of year.. might pop along tho if some money appears... and is their any chance of taking part for part sessions at cheaper cost?? may encourage more locals to attend..
