me and Jamie wont be doing silly speeds, we only just got our cars back, so want to get to japfest.. however a right royal boost up is required, gotta hear that zisco system on full chat... P.S I have no stereo, so my speakers are my pedals.lol, spesh the loud one on the right.haha -
liam, as long as its a dual core civic rad and the core thickness measures 40mm or more, then it cool a starlet fine on a td04.. and that 40mm or more figure comes from Conrad from the zisco guys over on tgtt.. and ive had no issues following that guideline.

cheers dudes.. yh liam turbo is brill mate, thanks for that.. chatter is so much different to a td04, sounds like those old jap videos we all watched.. yh john, be good to come to shows as only did one last year, and that was where the pictures were done for the tv programme. -
prime as in ready to pump fuel through the system, so all the electrics all working.. when you do that, you can usually tell its an earthing issue, which mine was..

Boost dropping off. UPDATED PLEASE HELP!!!
jayc-glanza17 replied to Beastmode panda's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I went external wastegate so never fixed it mate.. best way to honestly know is have turbo off, and test it in your hands, or take downpipe off and have a look see if penny is fully closed. -
Boost dropping off. UPDATED PLEASE HELP!!!
jayc-glanza17 replied to Beastmode panda's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
if you internally wastegated, then the penny flap might not be shut properly so its leaking boost past it mate.. I had this before.. -

Clutch Question... Help Needed Urgently!
jayc-glanza17 replied to Browner's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
doesn't look standard, because it has 6 springs, standard has 4 if I remember rightly, looks like an exedy paddle I used to have. and if you are on about danb 87 with the black gt, that is definitely forged, as I know the guy who previously owned car and the guy who mapped that car.. -

ok russ.. add your name obviously once you know.. if you need a hand drop me a line dude.. -
right where do i begin, firstly i always liked starlets and i went to japan in 2007, and saw a glanza accelarate pretty rapidly. also had a go in sanchez's starlet when owned my ross a freind of a freind, and all it did was make me want one more and more. so instantly hooked, when i got home i wanted to get one. but had to wait till 2008 to buy my glanza. those are the first three pics i ever took after buying the glanza. then for a year i just took care of her and restored some body parts back, and got her running right. then i cleaned engine up in early 2009, then i got a new exhaust, and manifold and d-cat in April 2009. then i started to get into track racing with the glanza, did lots of track sessions at brands hatch over the summer, and i was surprised with the lil old ct9 at a bar was doing well, but i was really clawing time back in the bends, and was doing better then i thought in those sessions, which led to a guy who works at brands inviting me to join a modifed car club he was involved in, purely as they didnt have many on track. anyways may 2009...... took car off road for 3 weeks, in this time i bought new rims, FMIC basically i was getting bits to go td04. but i took my car to Atspeed racing in essex, and whilst there getting it all checked out before i went on track again, my tuner said i have an LSD, when we got pics from here and part numbers from toyota and the chassis code, they said it did have a lsd when imported... so no wonder y i was doing well in the bends.lol so i was very happy to find that.... so when car came back on road in june 2009, she looked like this september 2009. finally decided go td04 contacted Dave Burwash about his kits and he got one cheap for me, as another customer let him down.. and so went to trax 2009, but just before got td04 set up at .7bar of boost. was amazed first time round full f1 track and i didnt get overtaken at all, so was happy with that, but the track is amzing so fast and awesome through bridge corner. the track bug bit me even harder, the performance of the car and confident i felt with it made me want to do a lot more perfromance wise, but also attend as many shows as i can. I rang TM- Developments and started chatted with dave on best to achieve a track set up starlet that can be very fast on roads as well.. winter 2009 early 2010.... starbo not driven too much due to poor weather...After my chat with dave and Darren, I started to collect parts for a forged 4e.. so I bought another engine for 150 quid with piston ring damage. Then got dave and Darren to send me everything I would need to forge my engine and turn it into a track glanza, so initial aim was max out the td04, then td05 at a later date... altho i did fit a TRD front strut brace, and move the standard front one to the rear, cheap mod, but it does work well surprisingly. march 2010... right booked a track session at brands on 17th march.. i hit a huge snag on track, car overheated i was gutted distraught, as i was on the white sti's ass all session and he couldnt shake me, and id overtaken 8 cars that were in front of me in 3 laps. cause of the problem rad pipe touched screamer melted and leaked coolant and overheated. headgasket gone, crank over heated so fucked, piston rings finally gave up. so what happend next???? Started to strip other engine down, and forge it.. Then I built engine up with my dad, took around 9 weeks with machine work taking a lot of that time.. then april 2010 it was ready for me to pick it up and it changed to look like this.... pictures taken at ISTS 2010 at silverstone.. now she all run in i bought some 550s of dave and a gizzmo, pukka kit. NOW she was MAPPED and made 222 at the wheels at 18psi. anyways thanks for reading, what you guys think. SPEC..... fully forged engine 74.5mm wossner+scat rods. same as daves on his site engine is basically. td04 kit from dave again. FMIC custom piping for td04 ebc discs and yellowstuff pads Emanage ultimate ecu exedy clutch oem lsd gearbox ngk spark iridiums heat range 8 custom stainless exhaust Rota auto x rims TRD front strut brace Meister-r coilovers Rear of car stipped. Rear anti roll bar (whiteline) Front anti roll bar (whiteline) anti lift kit (whiteline) latest pics DEC 2010..... FEB 2011.... So rest of 2010, was just full of track days, few shows and meets.. 2011..... didn't do a lot to the car really.. just took part in more track days.. whilst not doing a lot I was saving up, went to JAPAN for a whole Month.. got many ideas for keeping the glanza, was in two minds until a certain Dave Burwash rang me and told me don't b silly, so he invited me a long to a practice spring meet with Darren.. I turned up and competed.. I actually came 2nd to the TM-developments gt at this practice, by 1.5 seconds to Darren.. so I decided to save up and keep the glanza, and start cycling to work.LOL.. 2012.... I cracked my td04 mani.. so Keith at Zisco made me a new one, with stronger bracing.. also fitted a golpher rad at same time.. Then decided to make a carbon front splitter.. Then I decided I didn't like the colour of my wheels, so I decided to re spray them meself.lol At the same time I purchased a genuine cruise bonnet from Ollie Ryan.. Then I got some 4 pots from Keri at WMS.. celica st165 twin pots against the wms 4 pots.. old brakes off.. grinding some of the heat shield off Cusco LSD c52 gearbox purchased from Stav.. at same time got his TD05 JULY 2012 also made a carbon fuel filler cap as well Then dean at RW-Developments made me his catch tank kit.. Then Zisco made me their exhaust system.. August 2012.. Cusco lsd gearbox and new clutch fitting along with new whiteline anti roll bar and anti lift.. Then gearbox a day later.. then clutch all aligned.. so cusco lsd c52 box and a 6puk paddle from Tuning Developments all fitted.. one more track day, then car came off road end of August 2012.. 2013.... Zisco inlet, finally found the issue with it, its a throttle body issue, which Keith is now going to actually sort for me, so this can go on later in year.. few pics.. Sprayed intercooler with VHT paint, to smarten front end up.. Then fitted my Bride bucket seat with Bride rail.. Then I contacted Zisco yet again for a top mounted turbo kit and a front strut brace. Then fired car up after 17 weeks, it didn't start for 2 weeks because of poor fuel wont be using Tesco again.. once if did fire oil smoke and the smell of burning oil.. Turbo had failed, so I contacted Liam_D and had his company midland turbos rebuild my td05.. here it is returned.. Then finally took it out for first time other weekend, and it ran problem free, no leaks or burning oil.. and at 12psi spools and oulls very nicely, so not as bad in terms of lag compared to a td04 as people make out.. next- April 2013.. my car is going to my tuner Colin Thorndyke at ATSPEED racing.. to have OMEX 600 installed and mapped, so can finally loose the EMU, which I need too running this sort of power that most starlets put out on a td05.. Will be attending japfest at castle combe.. so see you guys their as my car should be mapped by late April..
