There won't be a wire to the ecu it will just be a signal from the central locking to the mirror switch to say the cars been locked fold the mirrors in. I'm sure it will be a different mirror switch because the one on mine works off analogue where as I bet Idrees has a digital switch.

Its not to bad mate took me and chris 1hour 45mins to swap out my 6speed fro a 5 speed makes it easier with a ramp/pit -
the autobann fit mine when it was an auto just had to get a slim rad fan or it interfears

if you just say you want it quiet the can do it without restricting flow they just need to use straight through silencers maybe a large one at the back and a smaller one in the centre. -

I've been running a ported mani for 12months now when doing the porting I had a jam mani to copy ;) and it's been 100% so far. You will find gains from de-cat as even the gutted cat has restrictions in it as I found. But this is not essential.
