How do i test for that? Start car, remove positive terminal from battery, if car dies then shit alternator, if not alternator is good?

Found it, one earth goes to the body, and one earth goes straight to the gearbox from the battery. It seems fine, just alittle burnt and corroded. I started the car up, after about minute and half it flickered the lights again, you can feel its not running correctly after the lights comeon. the rpm drops and everything slows down. which shows the battery is not being charged. But why is this intermittent? It should allways be on or off. But it randomly comes on or goes off. Also, why does the fuel filter light comeone at the same time as the battery light comes on? Just don't understand what the hell is going on?

Update on this. We picked it up from the Garage we gave it too. about 15 mins later the lights came on again, but did not overheat the car? I did turn the heaters on full blast as soon as they came on though. Once we slowed down the lights flickered and then went off as we came to a stop? Someone please help, really pissing us off now, spent alittle over £300 on this shity fault and no luck atall, the problem just keep haunting us again and again.

My rears also started seizind up and we loosened them using the same method as Amjad described. But after 7-8 months they seized again so i got new calipers, but using the same old scratched disk.

Would that reate a knocking noise?

Where could the bad connection be? Is there a ground on the gearbox and where abouts?

I had to restart everything. i took it all off and connected it to the other side. I first chose the left side, because it was closest to battery, but it had probs so i had to remove everything and put it other on the other side and that sorted it.

[When stationary the car is fine. When in "D" and driving the dash lights flicker and some warning lights come up on the car, (the battery light, and fuel filter light) and it gets over heated and the fans don't come on either. We suspect there is a dodgy earth. The garage we took it to made us get new indicator and light stalk. But still the problem persist. They are no experts in Jap cars so i'm hoping someone can help from here.
