Hey guys got a spare cam cover I want to make into a race spec one. Just wondering what size fittings and lines are best to use? Also how to go about it i.e cut the exsisting breather off and weld a threaded fitting and how about where the PCV goes, does it need drilling out and a threaded fitting welded in place? OR is this a better idea? Cut the breather off, thread the hole to take a 90 degree fitting and the same with the PCV hole? Any help appreciated as I dont want to spend stupid money doing it? Also will the standard cover be OK for now with the PCV removed and a pipe in place ju

Sparky replied to Sparky's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Yea I did, came with the oem full gasket set. Will try not to handle them with bare hands and pack them with grease then, cheers IF my crank is worn then what can be done other than having the crank ground or replacing it? I have a few cranks but really want to avoid changing it. -

Sparky replied to Sparky's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Fuck I hope its not that, didnt seem bad when we had the crank out -
Right I recently rebuilt my engine and from day one both crank seals have leaked! I know lots of people have had the same problem with them so I was just wondering is there a certain way to fit them or any reason why they shit theirselves? By the way they were leaking before the car even seen boost because I had to take it for MOT with no boost pipe so that wasnt the issue. I am also running the stock PCV with a cusco catch can just on the breather and the other port on the catch can venting to atmosphere so dont think thats the problem? Any help or info is greatly appreciated as I will be
