  1. Loving the progress mate, this car is mint, i love silver V's and the carbon is uber Lush Silver V, lots of carbon and a sweeeet engine, love it mate
  2. Its a nice V mate, been to WRC as i just live round the corner and seen it in the flesh its a mint V, it was a bit pricey though wouldnt mind knowing how much you payed mate???
  3. Hahaha ye sparky the facelift V's are defo the best looking in my opinion Tejai, the sparcos are a dark anthracite done by LSN Coating in castleford. Liam, ye bowers glanza is nice, its in mint shape aswell, a great example of a V that will be up for sale soon, your not going to afford insurance at all for a V mate???
  4. So as the sun was out today me and my mate bower decieded to give the glanza's a very good clean and went to a local spot to take a few pictures, so just thought id share Bowers Glanza (the one with the black bonnet) will be up for sale in a week or two, i have taken a few pitures of that on its own to just see if there is some interest in the car, i dont know the spec list of the car but has all supporting mods for the TD04 turbo, it has wepr FMIC, Emanage Blue, Greddy E-01 boost controller and alot more, P.M me if anyone is interested http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=29841 Thanks alot for looks and if anyone is interested in Bowers TD04 Glanza please P.M me
  5. Another great update mate, good work mate manifold looks lush and i bet it shift now Also which way do you turn the nut on the actuator to increase/decrease boost, isit tighten towards the turbo to increase and losen towards the actuator to decrease?? Cheers mate, Zac
  6. Its on the left hand side of the inlet manifold if your standing at the front of the car looking at the engine, the oposite side to the inlet. When you unplug the white plug it stops the ticking, when you plug it in again it starts again :s i just thought it was the idle control valve because when you unplug it to stop the ticking the revs drop slightly, still idles but the revs do drop. Thanks mate, Zac
  7. Well ive give my throttle body a good clean today and adjusted the throttle cable and once ive put it all back together and started the car to check everything was fine i heard a ticking noise coming from the idle control valve, this does do it all the time but i havnt really taken any notice to it at all. I know its the idle control valve becuse when you unplug it the ticking stops, when you plug it back in again, it ticks away lol Any ideas what it could be or do i need a new idle control valve??? Cheers lads, Zac
  8. Great Progress mate, cant believe how much and how fast youve done it, Great work man
  9. No mate no condensation at all buddy, with sealing the glue back to the lense with heating it up again, i think tht did the trick mate Hahaha Ryan, ye im crap at cooking and thought i might melt my lenses, but help from my dad it all went well and Cheers mate, i loved the corsa threw alot of money into that, it wasnt chavvy like most corsa's just was subtle and nice lol but move to bigger and better things so got the glanza Thanks for the comments lads ;D
  10. I think it was arounf 150degree for around a minute mate, there is a thick black tar like glue sealing the lights, this will eventually melt and with alot of force they will come apart, i had to put them in the oven prize the lense a little then put it in the oven again, abit more prizing and i had to do this a few times. When they did come apart i used t-cut to clean up the lenses, i did it about 2-3 times and they have come up alot better, the inside reflective foil was also mucky on mine, DO NOT use the t-cut on this, i have done it a little bit and it has peeled and scratched the foil off. maybe just a damp cloth and a micro fibre to dry them off. To seal the lights back together i but the headlight unit back in the oven for a minute or so at the same temp which melted the tar like glue again, there is a trench in the glue from when the lense was taken off and when the glue was then tacky again i squeezed the lense back into its original seating, once it was in i put it back in the oven for another minute to seal the glue onto the lense, then apply the clips again and there you go, lights that look alot better than they was. I think this is the best way to gettin alot better looking front headlights instead of forking out a fortune on new ones. Hope this helps mate Cheers, Zac
  11. Well ive finally started my own thread instead of keeping the updates on Rich's thread, like people have said i think ive made enough changes to the car to make it officially mine lol so im going to take out all the updates on the other thread and put them in here so i can keep all my updates together from when i first bought the car Thanks alot, Zac Feb 25 2010, 03:44 PM Well as you all may know Scutch0 (Rich) has sold his Glanza at the start of the year, and i was the very lucky guy to buy it from him. Rich is a very sound lad and was pleasure doing this deal with him. I have decided to carry on updating this thread so Rich can see that his little V is in good hand. For a very long time looking on UKSC and TGTT i was always wanted a mint and well looked after V, so i found Rich's V and really that was what i had been looking for, and well, im soo happy with the V i had bought and the condition that it is in is great with minor repairs to the front and shell it will be immaculate, These were the pics on the advertisment: So on Friday the 8th of January (i think it was) my dad and his mate set off down south to collect my Glanza, i really wanted to go down but was unable to get the day off work, so i just had to wait till the 5 O'clock to come around so i could see my new car. While my dad was down there he phoned me and told me how nice and how good the condition of the car was and he sent me a few pictures while i was sat at my desk wishing i could of been down there collecting her with my dad, these was the pictures i recieved: Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 768 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 768 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 768 ] - Click to view full image So when i had recieved the pictures i was even more excited to get home and see the car in the flesh, When i got home and saw the car on the drive it was exactly what i was looking for and was very very pleased with the car, it has soo much potential and i knew this could turn out to be just how i want it. The next morning i had to get out on the drive and just give her a good clean as the long motorway drive back had made the car more of a grey colour rather than the white lol. So to start with i stripped out the interior completely to give it a really good clean inside the car, not saying it wasnt clean rich just thought id clean her out as i wasnt insured and wanted to have a play lol Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1022 x 574 ] - Click to view full image So after the inside of the car was immaculate (Don't have no pics sorry) i started on the outside of the car, gave her 3 washes and a good chamois, wanted to give her a good polish and wax but i ended up loosing light and time . As i wanted this car so bad i had to borrow the money off my mum and dad and then pay them back when i had sold my corsa, so i also decided to give the corsa a wash and here are a few pictures of both my cars together: Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Reduced: 78% of original size [ 1024 x 576 ] - Click to view full image Well after the big clean i didn't touch the V for a while as i was getting used to the drive of the car and the soo much more power over the little 1.4 corsa lol. A few weeks later a mate of mine was de wipering his Mk2 Punto on the back and has no use for the wiper and wiper arm, so after seeing Bildo (i think thats his username) had done it to his and i thought it looked really cool and more modern, i decieded to fit the mk2 punto arm and wiper to the glanza, it looks soo much better and neat compared to the large metal one. (sorry no pics of this small mod) Then another friend with a V was selling his Blitz Supersound B.O.V with all silicone pipes for a bargain price, i didn't really want to buy a B.O.V with such little mods to the car, but for the price it was at, i couldnt say no really (again sorry no pics as of yet) So after doing a bit of driving around to get used to her and the drive of the car, she once again got filthy so again i gave her another good clean and took a few pictures aswell, You can make out the punto rear wiper, and i also added what i think is a cool sticker to the back window. Sparco Crimson NS2's All the wheels are in great condition there no marks on them what so ever, although they are not the colour i wanted i thought for the price with the good tyres, i was goin to buy them, So because of the colour i had the tyres taken off and off to the powdercoaters they went. Recieved the alloys back from the powdercoaters and tbh they are the best i have ever seen, definatley recommend LSN coatings in Castleford, really happy with the alloys and the colour is perfect, now just goin to buy some new wheel nuts as the Rays dont fit because they are too wide for the nut holes on the alloy and then a full brand new set of tyres, think ill be going to the Prada Spec 2's or Uniroyal Rainsport 2's im not sure but hey here are the nice newly plastic coated wheels. Ill keep everyone updated here in the future. Thanks alot, Zac Feb 26 2010, 11:40 AM On the performance side im looking into goin down the Hybrid route, a tong GT Spec i think, im wanting around 180bhp and should get that quite easly at around .8 to 1bar of boost, and i have at home a nice wepr e/w manifold to go on when i get the turbo, so the roadrunner mani will be up for sale. Once the sparcos are on with the new tryes, next on the list is going to be a few handling mods, rear ARB, coilies (looking at the Meisters) Anti lift kit, rear strut and C pillar strut. Just going to take it easy and enjoy the modding process and watch my car transform into something special. Feb 27 2010, 01:14 AM Thanks for the comments lads, Rich id like to thank you also for keeping her in such a great condition and what she is to this day and ye she will be looked after well by myself. Chris, Ye i was looking for just a little while lol and finally found what i was looking for. Ye and just learning more and more about them and just going to take it easy and enjoy the modding process and just see what happens really.
