    all aspects of race car design, mainly engine blue printing and design. am a coded weilder, and have much experience in body work, window tints, car electronics and also heavy goods vehicles systems like air suspention and air operated systems. i normaly use angalsy race course, as its one of the closest to me. i love jap cars and own quite alot. av bin to JAE the past 5 years, and many of the jap car meets at santer pod.

About Me

I'm 30 years of age, and come from a long line of mechanics starting with my great grand father Walter Taylor, who was the founder of Walter Taylor & co. In the 1980s this was one of the biggest car breakers in Manchester. You could say it's in my blood...!

At the age of 13 I had a weekend job at the family firm, and the afternoon I left school I simply walked out of the school gates and never looked back!

My first car was a ford fiesta MK1 Ghia (ford titan blue), but as you could imagine I had a full scrap yard full of mk1 fiestas, ranging from the simple to the XR2. So, at the tender age of 16 I built the car from the ground up - totally stripping every last nut and bolt off the fiesta replacing most body panels inculding sills, boot floor and inner wings. The engine was the overhead cam CVH 1.6 out of the xr2, good engine, and 1 of the mods on the engine was twin webber 40 side draft carbs. i remember leaving alot of at the time modern sports cars. inculding my mates pug 1.9 205 dimmer.

Then at the age of 18-19 went on to my scirroco gtx 1.8 uni flow 8v. which was amazing. the engine mods included the twin throttle plate off the 5 cly audi quattro. and with a Co screw and dissy could tune her to near perfection. one of my first ever tunning achievments came on this car as i put a aftermarket fast road cam on it. which i was told was near impossible because of the K-jetronic injection system, but it worked and well as every golf gti and audi sport was left in my wake.

That is just the first 3 years of leaving school, i then went on to achive my city and guilds level 3 in motor vehilce systems, my IMI in heavy goods vehicles, my class 2 & 1 licence, my weilding qualicications in MIG and TIG.

Worked on heavy goods vehicles most of my working life inculding volvo and iveco main dealer training. i have also worked on counter wieght stacker trucks for nissan, yale, and kamatsu using complex foam carring attachments. i then became a fully qualifed electrican getting my EDEXCLE ONC in electrical and electronic systems which coms in handy as cmos logic is 12v (car systems). my last qualicifaction was my 17th addition house electrics so yes i am a fully trainned spark 2.

most of my engine work has bin on the VAG engines inculing the 20V turbo (which was my first experience with turbo boost modulaction systems) incorperating both mass air flow and speed density. and the 2.3-3.2 v5 & VR6 engines (which i lov alot very muchas) and more recent the tsi and fsi vag engines, but the clio sport and hondas Ivetec engines also have a close place next to my hart xx. another engine I'm currently working on is the 4G63 engine out of the mitsi galant 1991 4x4 GTI. i'm working on a turbo convertion to make it the EVO, hoping to get this car to JAE this year.

also around march i start my trackdays and track testing my cars using a data logger to help me set up the EPRAM. and am a big fan of toyota, but not the yamaha celica and MR2 engines as its a mess and a mishmash of parts to be quite honest.

my very fav track in this country is BRANDS HATCH GP or INDY either gives me the chills wen driving thm (it coms close if not better thn sex),
