Defo the h8ead gasket at the very least then im afraid buddy. Not even any point in continuing your diagnosis untill you have stripped it and just hope its the gasket thats fucked and not worse.
-
No it sounds like you have a blocked breather somewhere else or your PCV valve is knackered. Someone else might be able to be more accurate though.

Cj performance James selling Coilovers via Facebook!!!
StuDoc 72 replied to LeeG's topic in Lifestyle General
I wonder whos coilovers they are? Though he had no money to get them out of customs? What a bellend. -
Theres no doubt the DC2 will be much better handling than the starlet it will also be nicer to drive as its a larger car and will fell more solid and less tinny. As far as power though you would have to spend a fair bit on the DC2 to even get close to your glanza. Theres only so much power you can get without boosting it. Overall though I think DC2's look extremely outdated and arent very pretty at all. Id rather spend a bit more and opt for a DC5 but thats just personal taste.

Smell the coolant to see if it smells of petrol. If it does then something is up most likely the gasket or block. This is why I traded in my VXR basically when you are driving the car on the compression stroke it forces pressure into the water system causing an air lock which builds and build the coolant has no where to go untill it reaches the spring rate of pressure on your rad cap which opens and lets it move into the overflow tank. Hope this helps buddy but the big give away will be the smell of the coolant.

Who gave you a good insurance quote on a GT/V?
StuDoc 72 replied to Amjad's topic in Lifestyle General
Try the main stream ones like admiral elephant stuff like that I know you said their renewal was shit but if you go online and get a new quote again it will most definately be cheaper than your renewal. Also explain the situation on the phone they should help you with the cheapest way to go from one car to the other after the month as there is a number of ways you could do so. Mines is about 1200 for the year for the Glanza and the BM. Thats for me and the Mrs both 23 both with 5 years no claims and me with a pretty 10 points lol Thats with Admiral on a multi car policy. -
Now i think of it have any of you got a set or rear discs kicking about?

I think this is the longest this thread has lay unused for so ill hopefully kick it back to life. Finally got mine back on the road yesterday when one of my headlights went out which is never good when they are hid's. One of the spades that plug into the plug for the original bulb had completely disintigrated to that lovely white/blue corrosion powder. Luckily i had a spare so wired it back in moved the ballasts up behind the fuse box and its tidier than ever. Finally got round to removing all the vac pipes from the inlet mani so its looking pretty tidy now and all went well which has kind

Engine oil soaked into carpets - any suggestions?
StuDoc 72 replied to RichardKSavage's topic in Detailing and Car Care
Burn the carpets the oil should help it burn for hours. Thats about the best use for it now. -
Dont pay a garage mate they will throw it together not worth the hassle. Do it yourself pocket the money and get to know your car inside out.

Who's this? Is this the 300bhp+
StuDoc 72 replied to 46james46's topic in I Spy, Have You Been Spotted?
Youd have to be to park like that. -
Am sound with that boys like scott says tho id rather it was just us. The only way to make it work is to make it short notice. If u try and plan it months in advance it will fizzle out.

Are the tanks metal or plastic on starlets im not sure? Plus if its good quality fuel no shit should get in there in the 1st place. The light not going off will just be due to the switch sticking.
-
I will defo be up for one but they never happen. Plus am no really keen on the cruise idea that scenes a bit gay lol.

Theres a filter on the pump and on the lines mate. Thats a myth from back in the 70s when cars didnt have these.

what relocation filters are people using?
StuDoc 72 replied to Gainzy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I can take a pic of how my hks is fitted if you are unsure? -
Its orange on my Glanza. I never refuel without it coming on. Always good to know it still works plus no point in the extra weight of a heavy tank lol.

StuDoc 72 replied to Gainzy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Sorry mate I assumed that was for the relocation kit fuck that shit. Get an HKS mushroom it offers the largest surface area with it being front facing and also causes the air to be forced in directly. Also you can change the filter foam when its dirty rather than having to clean it. -
Could be sooo much worse. Should try owning a Corsa VXR.

StuDoc 72 replied to Gainzy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Are you mental??? £55 for a full relocation kit is peanuts!!! You clearly havent compared prices. Personally if I were you I would make my own and use a decent filter like apexi or HKS. Mines is an HKS Mushroom. Bought an ASH 90 degree bend off the turbo. Then a 10cm alloy pipe then a 70mm to 52mm silicon reducer. £9.50 for 90degree bend £5 for alloy pipe £7.50 for reducers iirc all from ASH. Which are the best about these days. Plus £70 or whatever an HKS mushroom costs. Puts £55 into perspective. -
Water pump impeller hitting water pump housing
StuDoc 72 replied to garrygt's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Very strange mate? Unless there is a gasket missing that would cause it to sit out a little further? Idrees should be able to help may just be a faulty unit. -
When I 1st seen then thread I would have said dont waste your time on an R32 Gtst. R32's are only worth buying if you have a GTR. Most Skyline enthusiasts will tell you that the R33 is the one to have as its bigger than the R32 which is a bit of a baby if you ask me and is more sorted. It is also lighter than the more bulky r34 which is still priced very highly. My friend has an R33 RB25DET and it drinks fuel for fun. I really would spend the money on a Glanza. The Skyline will drink fuel insurance will be a compared so will road tax. For me personally its a 1 horse race.

1.28 for fuel its about 1.33 here. I kinda dont get this topic though your still getting reasonable fuel usage so have slightly contradicted the topic. Lets be honest no one bought their starlet for economy if you want that get a diesel.

KNOCK SENSOR...yet ANOTHER fuckin issue
StuDoc 72 replied to PaulStarletSR's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Knock sensor is for your timing mate it basically lets the engine run with as advanced timing as possible without the engine pinking. Without it you will as socks say get an EML you also risk it misfueling and lacking power. Which obviously can lead to burning pistons n snapping con rods. In worst case scenarios.
