I wondered how long before and owner commented lol. Driven an S3, RS3, RS4 and been in an R8. Still think they are very dull. Over priced, over weight, under powered and overrated.....well thats my gathering lol.

Lol I'm not a fan but they are definately better than Audi or VW I know they are the same underneath but skoda and seat both have so much more personality. All VW golfs/polos and All audis look exactly the same. People keep mentioning the fabia to me but not really in the flash braket enough for what i want if you get me.

Average joe will prefer 4wd as its least likely to let go of all 3. Only thing that makes FWD better is that its cheaper and lighter, it has no other benefits over the other 2. 4wd is safer and better handling. RWD is faster and better handling if you are experienced.

That is the most innaccurate statement ive ever heard. A FWD is the worst way to apply power. RWD for acceleration 4WD for handling. If FWD is faster then why are all supercars 4WD or RWD. FWD is more predicatble and easier to manage then RWD that is the only reason for its popularity. It cant handle more than 200 without super fancy diffs!!!

Nah its the strut brace with it being lighter than standard it allows the engine to work harder giving him the extra 100hp.

Even now you say that though the whole German reliability and build quility thing is a myth. I am only buying that as a diesel as no other companys make a sporty looking diesel their engines are decent enough. If I was being super sensible I'd get a Volvo but a friend alread has nice 1 so want to get something different.

That is people who are fooled by a badge into thinking its more expensive or better. Im in the process of getting a new car to replace my corsa vxr a diesel and for looks with a diesel unfortunately has to be German so we are down to a 3 series coupe and a scirrocco (the only acceptable VW lol). And when I say to people who dont have a clue thats what im looking at buying the take a breath and say ooo u must be made of money now. So Im like well actually im doing it to save money the scirrocco and BMW is cheaper for fuel tax insurance and will be for maintainence too. Some people are just blinded by badges they are gulliable and buy into alot of gimics that companys will sell to them these days another company notorious for overselling gimics is apple but thats another topic for another day lol.

Skyline parts are cheaper than starlet parts they are also much more widely available as there are loads being broken in the uk. My flatmate has an R33 and its ridiculous the prices he gets things for compared to what I pay. He can get coilovers for £200 2nd hand ofcourse. Ofcourse some parts will be more expensive as they are bigger due to there being 6 cylinders but on the whole he pays far less than me. He paid £2500 for his which is 380 bhp and pisses all over my starlet. Fair enough mine isnt high spec but its miles apart. Regardless for 5k they are all far faster, have alot more equipment are bigger comfier. The question was power for purchase price not running costs therefore they are all faster. Like I said I have a starlet because I love starlets but I dont let the rose tinted specs effect my judgement. 280bhp is all good and well but in a 800kg its not going to put it down untill about 3rd gear. Where as they will.

I would beg to differ but im not going to argue when the market isnt there to prove it. All of those can easily put down power to about 500bhp. A starlet struggles over 200. Lets not leave the blinkers on mate I love these cars too but they are all faster possibly excluding the scooby and/or evo and far more car for your money.

Same mate. BMW's are ok....... well some of them. But VW's and Audis have got to be the most dull uninteresting cars on the planet. For people who dont have a clue that want to buy a badge. Plus every audi looks the same they just aren't cool.

I disagree Morgey mate the PS3 pad is 1 of the worst ive ever used! There are no triggers. Which i think nowadays is a necessity for games. Also if you are playing say COD when using both analogue sticks your thumbs touch at times which isnt helpful. I honestly think ATM MS are leaps and bounds ahead in terms of playability and online playing but there will always be the people loyal to the PS I myself was 1 of them but when I got a 360 I've never looked back.

^^^^ This. Nah man your right pump up the pedal if it sinks a bit when u start the engine its good. Or you can pump the pedal when its on and see if the revs flutter too. I dont think a sticky piston would cause a stiff pedal as the rest of the pistons would still push out so you would just have shit brakes. Was it especially cold this morning? What about your fluid? When did you last change it? May have absorbed moisture and slightly frozen if its really old. The servo could be weak too I guess sounds like a funny one. One of those have to diagnose it in person kinda 1s.

They arent too bad at all. Will need the rear casing sealed though or they will steam up. Plus a good wet and dry then polish to make them nice and clear again.

Have you tryed to take off the water hoses and blast out the cooling system then refill it? Maybe worth a try 1st its free because you wont need to use antifreeze if your gna go straight ahead and do the HG as you will be draining it anyway just an hour or so graft if you have a hose.

^^ This There are alot of these in the country now. Probably more than there ever has been as they are all being shipped out of japan and when something becomes more easy available prices go down. But as people break them and write them off those who care for theirs will see the values rise again. As you said they are cheap to fuel and cheap to tax its only a matter of time before they become in high demand because of the good mileage and tax compared to other small hot hatches which are quite poor even now.
