This is a strange one mate but the noise will change when u relocate the filter as there is more air passing through the system.

TBH small turbos are already back and have been for a while purely because they burn fuel far more efficiently and create less emissions. Pretty much every manufacturer are using small turbo engines not only in small cars but bigger 1s aswell because of the reasons above and because they are far more frugal and torquier than their larger N/A counterparts. Think about it if people are to buy a focus and its a 1.6 with 100bhp it will do 35mpg - 40mpg and cost £200 PA road tax if your lucky. In the same focus you can use a 1.0 or 1.2 ltr turbo that will give 100+ BHP far more torque and use less fuel and tax it for £120 PA its only common sense. Its slightly pointless though if your going to buy one thats bigger than a 1.5 as it will just drink petrol you would be aswell going all out and getting a 2.0l or bigger. Something like a Colt turbo only produces 140-150bhp where as a 1.4 abarth esseesse will produce 170-180 it will be much cheaper on tax and fuel usage and is probably one of the best looking small cars out just now IMO. Again other options like Corsa VXR's produce alot of power 197bhp as standard but you pay for it as the tax is £240 for the year and it does effectively 25-35 mpg at best. Anyway to conclude a starlet is by far your best way to get power and save money they are in all honesty very reasonable on fuel being 1.3's they are also stupidly cheap to tax and as you know can reach a shit lot of power without all the hassle of complicated electronics and engines. If you want to be cheap. By a diesel it IS THE ONLY OPTION.

Not 100% sure mate maybe the fuse box in the bay. TBH when it comes to electrical issues like this if its no obvious and your not comfortable with auto electrics I would find someone who is because you could end up making a right mess of it.

Wow mate sorry but I cant help but laugh it must be hilarious for everyone other than you. Electrical faults are a bitch. To me this sounds like the water is reeking havoc with the wiper relay because theoretically wipers are technically powered up all the time on all cars but moving the stalk operates the relay and earths the circuit. Try by checking that, then afterwards it will just be the long gruelling process iof checking wiring and earths.

To be fair though mate with these new german motors they hold their value really well even with a ton of mileage. It still costs 10k for 1 with 100k on the clock for some reason so I wouldnt worry about that but a BM would flap at yours in the tiniest bit of snow. You need a diesel audi TT quattro lmao. Buy a 52plate diesel jag with 4x4 cheap luxurious and good on fuel kinda ticks all your boxes and its better than a VAG lol.

Well we had it down to between a scirocco and a 3 series coupe google autovogue. Was gna get one of theirs but she thinks they are too big and that she would look daft in them. She looks daft regardless of what shes driving but she was having none of it and preferred the scirocco so looks like one of those. Tbf you get alot more for your money for 1 of those and will likely get a 60 plate with 10k on it for 15k as apposed to a 58 plate bm with 40k for 15k so makes more sense i suppose.

Awf mate a dunno man the plan was to get an evo 10 and buy a cheap diesel for work but ive got 10 points now so the evos out the window. So going for a diesel so most likely a scirocco but the finance company are asking too much for a settlement fee they want the money I owe and the interest I would pay over the remained of the term so I needto check my terms and conditions then write a letter of complaint and according to the financial ombisman they will then offer me an alternative either that or the FO takes it to trading standards.
