Head skimmed and block checked and id go for the Athena every day just for peice of mind

Trd. the noise isn't coming from the box though. its 100% coming from drivers side wheel

Yeah mate its exactly the same noise as the passenger side was. exactly same symptoms. plus the lsd works fine

Hi lads. Just a quick question on driveshafts really. I had a knocking noise from my front passenger side a bit back which ended up.being my outer cv.joint. i had a normal gearbox at this point and there was no noise from thwarting drivers side at all. I put an lsd box in at the weekend went out last night to hear the knocking from before but from.drivers side. my question is really by having the car so low. by which i mean 16inch wheels with the tyres sat inside the arches. obviously the shafts aren't sat at the angle they are.designed to be which i assume puts.more stress on the cv joint

There are 2 dots on the inlet cam gear and one.big.one on the exhaust gear. line those up and your away mate

Raz i would go straight for an Athena/trd/zep gasket over the Toyota one. i put a oem one on mine when i.put my td04 on and within 3 days.it had blown. that was with newly skimmed head and block. I've got a 1.2mm Athena now and its been.fine ever since

Get the mild steel one if you get it. i bought one never used it.but it looked fairly goose. obviously nothing to match a racetech kit but.for the money not bad i wouldn't say.also td04 is awesome compared to stock tubby imo

I find there good for a lot of bits tbh. and if ordered in morning they usually have it by 3pm same day. can't go wrong imo:)

yeah spot on Mo3 ill be in touch definately at some point, looking at going over in early september, i have a job offer waiting, just the mrs thats not sure because she wants a job before we get there as well. anyone know of any good car hire companys? bearing in mind im 21. just for a week or so till i get a work van. and any renting agenies that would possibly allow you to land and move in to the house next day as such?

sorry to hear it mate seems like a lot of people are loosing there jobs :/ that lad who i know is paying 150 dollars a week to rent a room at someones house, he gets use of everything inc xbox etc etc but dunno how it compares to renting a flat there really. how long did you go for before? im looking at going to mackay as thats where my mate is, but would defo be traveling around while im there

im thinking of moving to aus for a year on a working visa. im a qulaified sparky and theres meant to be a lot of jobs there. got laid off last november and have been doing shit jobs here and there since and ended up full time at an electrical wholesalers about 3 months ago. but the pay barely covers by bills and getting to work and back. spoke to one of the lads i trained with last week and hes been there about 6 weeks now, hasnt got a bad word to say about it and hes earning an absolute bomb. just wondered if anyone else has been, is there now or has any advice on cheap flights and general

i use yellow stuff pads on front, mintex on the rear and grooved discs all round and well as front braided lines. ive been runing td04 now for 3 months or so, and the car does get some abuse, brakes have never failed or faded as yet. seems a good set up for the power as the wheels lock up before the brakes fade. i use yoko s drive tyres which tbh im impressed with and theyve lasted a lot longer than my paradas did on a stock turbo set up for similar grip

lol at daz x2 to be honest i think ive done the right thing, because ive hardly thought about her tbh, i have been busy as owt but still. and saturday night was a right result if you know what im sayin lol plus the lass is sound, the v dropped a bollock on sunday night, a bit seft inflicted by some 106 destroying lol, but either way it properly went on the way home from work yesterday and shes lending me her car till i get mine back and sorted. only known her about 4 days so cant go wrong if you get me, plus shes pretty tidy ;) the cars a p reg green 1.2 clio, but its better than nothing

broke up with the mrs on wednesday. was with her for nearenough 2 years, seems strange having a friday night without her tbh, mind you, spose its going to after 2 years lol. not sure how to feel really, it was me that ended it, and i dont feel like im as bothered as i should be, just dont think its quite hit me yet. just realised that like when we were good we were amazing together, bt when it was bad it was really bad. and we dont seem to want the same things in life, shes a proper family person being there only child, and im not like that at all. its nice having the support of her parents

does anyone else have trouble posting topics and replying/ writing a pm from a phone? ive tried with 3/4 different phones now from my shed work phone to an iphone 4 on safari. it wont let me write or reply to a pm, or post a new thread. however i can reply to an existing thread. can anything be done about this on the site or is it litterally down to my phone settings?

my uncles got a white rs mk2, just had it (im not sure what stage) but its had full decat and pipe, mani, boost turned up and possibly a different turbo i cant member, and full re map. it was fast before but its a completely different animal now. i also can see better things to spend 27k on though. evo for example. i cant really beleive they did the rs in front wheel drive, thought they would have made it 4wd. would be emmense then imo
