idiots or what. how can you even compare a saxo to a starlet. jap v french. not even a competition really is there. my mate has a 106 gti and hes had nothing but trouble since the day he bought it. been in and out of garages non stop for electrical problems. and id rather have a 106 than a saxo any day. at least there a bit more grown up than the 15 year olds dream for a first car
-
surely someone can fix them? i know its not ideal and will still cost money and time. but at least it would leave you with a working unit??
-
i know what you mean, but when you do that, even though its free it just makes it out of there hands mate. i did it with an ebay seller a while back, bought the item outside of ebay and paid via gift transfer and when it come was a right heap of shit. struggled like owt to get money back
-
did you pay as a gift then?
-
click on the transaction, think it gives you a few options to choose. in my case i had been hacked and money taken, so i did the one that said i dont recognice this transaction. but basically you need to click on it to open the transaction details. and go from there

well i decided to keep the car, but i think i like it more than it likes me. any ideas what the following could be?? just come back from mrs house, pulled off and there was quite a loud knocking noise, however this noise is only there when the clutch is out. if i accelerate, it does it, but as soon as i let off the accelerator it stops if i put the clutch in whilst moving, the knocking stops, and if i put it in neutral whilst rolling it stops. anyone any ideas? it had a new clutch about 2 months ago if that, and i changed the gearbox at the same time as a synchro had gone in

wish my mrs took such an interest in cars as you do lol yeah sounds good to me though, and different as well

if you sell your d2s give me a shout please first dibs

i have yellow and tbh im impressed with them. you do get some humming noise, but i think that comes with having grooved discs anyway. had green stuff on my last car i didnt think they were as good as these yellows

-

-
na exactly as it was mate, just got to find another 500 quid from somewhere now for a boost controler and a mapping session :/ i met a lad with a 182 who wanted to swap, went out in both cars and it was a right let down tbh, handled well but not as quick as mine. sorta made me wanna keep mine lol
-

which clutch to go for?? how to change aswel??
Whitegv replied to (NAS) starlet ep82's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
i did mine for the first time a bit back, went to a spec 2 paddle clutch from a trader on here. good clutch imo but not the cheapest. it took me a day, but that included changing the gearbox as well. the hardest part is getting the rear box mount back on. toook me ages the f*cking thing -
there not tbh mate, ive been looking for about a month now and for 4500 you can get a real nice example, with about 80k on clock, but in all fairness, if you look at average mileage on a 2000 reg is over 100k anyway really. isn't it, its that or a civic type r really
-
that is to plug from an afternaket head unit to the cars iso connector if they are different. no use to you really mate, the other clown cut the old plug off
-
yeah french is putting me off, i wanna stay jap but no one wants to give me a teg lol
-
yeah ive heard the cam belt is a rip off i know a fair few mechanics and tbh id do it myself, not to bigger job i dont reckon, mind you havent done it on a clio before lol have a look at the link???
-

think im taking mine out tomoro so if i do ill take some pics and make note of what does what mate also you have an ignition live, and a battery live, mines a pioneer, and i know it needs both feeds (well im pretty sure it does) to work it turns on using the ignition, but has battery mains so it holds all its settings etc
