  1. Who is going to japfest 2 from Wales then, I would be looking to go up in convoy if possible, anyone heading up from the M4 i can meet up with? Decided i am going to trailer my starlet there and back as im gonna be testing it on track for the first time and I dont want any unexpected supprises, so got loads of room in my vectra estate wagon if anyone needs a lift there and back
  2. Speedo has stopped working the other day, taken the connector off the gearbox and the spindle has sheered off, pain in the ass! When i start the car no engine management light, when i drive and get to around 50-60mph it then turns on and stays on. However once i turn the ignition off and back on the engine light doesnt come back on. Can the car sense if its disconnected? only reason i am unsure as im missing one of the sensor plugs on my water temp so no sure which ones causing it!!
  3. Found some Toyo R888 track tyres at a really good price from Demon Tweeks, but for some reason they are listed under two different sections, exact same tyre (different pictures) but one is much cheaper than the other. Is this the same track tyre tyre size, 195 x 50 x 15 medium http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Search.do?me...5077&s=R888 £95.40 or http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Search.do?me...3384&s=r888 £114.48 the only difference i can see is one picture has three coloured lines on the tyre, the other doesnt? Anyone have a clue, i want to buy them!
  4. This has been worrying me fitting mine, Sparky says his just fits straight on so i hope i dont have to get the angle grinder out
  5. Yeah there is quite a big difference between just 1.0 and 1,1, car is gonna have a life of hell on track though so i am going for reliability. See how it goes with 1.0bar td04 against those EVO FQ340's this year, they were pullin about about 4 car lengths on me last year at Rockingham on the back straight, but i was killin em in the corners easy. This year im hoping to give them the big Bird Pedo Bear style!!
  6. Best money i have bought though were these prosport premium dials, only got the boost one hooked up at the moment, but i love the way you can set peak warning levels (brilliant for setting up accurate boost levels). Main problem with dials is that they are useless when your driving very fast as you can barely look at them, I have set my boost at roughly 1 bar, and I set a warning if it went above 1.05. So when i ragging it and it goes above it, the dial changes from white to red and beeps very loud so i know its hitting the warning level and its time to take you foot off the throttle! Bloody
  7. Tonight was the first time I have driven the starlet properly since putting it back together TD04 style, i haven't been driving it quick as i have had loads of small niggly things to fix, and what was funny, I was out 10 minutes in the car before I had people making me drive at excessive speed lol To say the TD04 is quick is an understatement, so quick in fact i could let the car trying to overtake at speed, put my foot down and then just power past them and make them vanish into the distance. I NEED TO GET THIS ON TRACK NOW LOL!!!! Im not sure if its just the pure acceleration or the car j
  8. Is this still on guys, i will be up for this need to test the legs on my car for the first time, would rather any problems show their ugly head local to home rather than miles away at a track day!! I am also off work until the 4th so can do any day too

You can safely get about 200-220bhp on standard internals, i wouldnt go much higher than that as you run the risk of breaking something, the GT engines do have thicker rods than the Glanza so will be a bonus if you have that model of engine.

go to noswizard, hes the best in the business and he will get it running fine on standard internals no problem. Its all about the nos injection delivery using his progressive controller so it pepper sprays it in initially to you dont get an instant hit which can break internals. So basically it starts of giving you say 10hp extra then a sec later 20hp then 30 50 and so on dependent on how much power you want I wouldnt bother with it though unless your intentions are drag racing, its cheaper and easier to just upgrade the turbo and get the constant power
  11. I am still running a stock ecu and RRFPR at the moment, its running quite rich so i am not getting as much power out of it as i should but its still bloody quick with the TD04L, looking to get an e manage blue and get it mapped at some point, not so keen on these piggy backs, would prefer a custom setup suited to my cars mods, but im more interested in upgrading the brakes to those WMS calipers and discs. The standard brakes last about 10 mins on track before going soft on me, even with uprated pads and discs. As usual its a never ending spend, not much left i want now though
  12. Now if this doesn't put a smile on your face I don't know what will! and yes it is real all in the aid of making people smile while im on track! Taggy
  13. With all these 4efte engines going pop, i am so paranoid now about using mine on boost its ridiculous. After Sparkys breaking a piston ring at 1.4 bar, i am definitely going to turn the boost down on my TD04L. Its currently set to about 1.1 but im going to turn it down to 1 bar for reliability. (no point having a super fast car if it lasts 6 months!!) All I have got left to do now is pick up an oil cooler on the weekend and hook up the rest of my oil pressure and oil temp sensors. Since i have had this car im on my 3rd bloody engine in 2 years! now im not being funny but that's bloody ridicu
  14. I have just got back from Glastonbury and heard the awful news, really sorry Sparky, i know how much effort you put in this. When mine blew last year at Silverstone i couldnt even look at it for 6 months before getting the courage to rebuild it!. Gutted dude, glad i had a ride in her though, was quality
  15. Problem solved!! Ran the car with the exhuast off and no smoke, exxhuast on loads of it. Turns out my backbox is holding all that oil that poured into my exhuast, over a litre of it!! phew!!
  16. Doesnt the headgasket only seperate the water ways, not oil.
  17. My car decided to dump shit loads of oil in my exhuast a couple of weeks ago, so much so my exhuast was full of it and my rear boot was covered in it. I had originally put it down to my turbo seals blowing their guts out, but i found it very unususual as i lost over a litre of oil in the space of 2 mins of driving. (I suspected it was in the exhuast as there was so much coming out the back). I have since bought a new turbo and fitted it today, however it seems i may have a bigger problem as it hasnt fixed it, it doesnt seem to be losing any oil but its puffing out blue smoke like a train on
  18. God i love these boxy things lol
  19. Its a new stock replacement exedy clutch, i checked the engine mounts when i put the engine back in
  20. eurgh this guy must have really bad sight, the lines on the body kit are awful and whats with those dustbin lid alloys, shocking!
  21. Is it the EP70 which is turbo charged?
