  1. Think i will go for pic of the month lol, thanks for all the good comments guys
  2. Yeah i was just thinking the same, not to worry though i dont think it would be to dificult to put a stanley knife on it and pull the excess off, overall though i think its bloody brilliant lol I cant stop laughing when i look out my bedroom window! The leak only seems to show its head when i get the car hot after booting it around, it doesnt leak just driving around town so im gonna have to take both pipes off and check them.
  3. Finally got the ultimate P.Bear for the track car, so should provide some laughs when im going around for the crowd its bloody huge! Pics of it being lined up Hansign did the work for me and did a great job The mad finished product!! Already had some giggles driving around lol Craig
  4. Its the first time i have seen it leaking, plus its also the first time i have driven hard with this engine, before that i have just been giving the odd 10 secs of boost up the road testing out stuff. Where abouts is the water pump situated, when i was underneath it looked to be dripping off the ridge of the sump where it meets the bottom off the block. It doesnt leak on idle, great i hope its not the water pump, how hard is it to change?
  5. lol sorry, no the other side if your looking from the front.
  6. It seems to be coming from the far left corner of the engine on the back, i know the matrix pipe is there but i couldnt feel any water when checking the hose. Will take the bugger off and inspect the hoses
  7. I have been starting to drive my car harder now to make any problems show their ugly face (so not to waste a day on track with some stupid problem) Today as the weather was nice i went for a spin up the valleys with the intention of driving harder to show up any sneaky leaks etc. To my supprise i managed to spring two leaks 1. Looks like the gasket is screwed on the TD04 oil return pipe off the turbo, so just ordered a new one 2. I have sprung a water leak from the back of the engine, are there only two water hoses on the back of the engine, i was having alot of difficulty locating where
  8. Ah mikey B, yes i remember you So much so my mate was taking the mick out of me saying that you were my arch nemesis on track and was the main reason i have put a TD04 on my car lol, yours was very rapid!! What boost and bhp you running in that thing?
  9. Yeah i agree with Daz, i tend to drive like a loon when im on track so the car gets hot!!
  10. Yeah i would be careful with any turbo car on track without one, the turbo can cook you rad system is no time and then lead to overheating of your oil and then some kind of bearing failure. Happened to me last year so im not going on without one this time
  11. I just went down to look at the print hes done and it looks bloody brilliant, i went with that 2nd image in the end and its so funny, it doesnt seem so disturbing in the flesh, purely because the bear is bigger than me! Couldnt stop laughing when i saw it, i should have taken a picture. He just needs to laminate it for me and then hes going to fit it to the roof tomorrow, i cant wait to show you it its sooooo funny, i nearly pissed my self when i seen it ha ha.
  12. Yeah i seen a thermostat from Demon tweeks for about £30
  13. I am about to buy this for my starlet, an oil cooler http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110622756451&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT ://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....STRK:MEWAX:IT Anyone used them, are they any good and also will it fit straight on my car, i have read some people are saying i will need to grind the powersteering pump to make it fit, is this true?
  14. Its an easy job to do, pull it off clean up all the excess sealant from the bottom of the sump and the sump its self, then just get engine sealant. I too was a bit confused at first what to use at engine sealant doesnt really come up with anything when you search for it. Basically its engine instant gasket you need, it looks like silicone and you just smother it all over it then press it on. Halfords or any car parts place should stock it, its all the same stuff Job done
  15. I reckon either way its gonna set you back about £110 delivered
  16. Yes they come in two types, one has more splines than the other, you will need to take out your driveshaft and count how many it has. www.camskill.com sell the outer CV joints (the cup part which goes in the gearbox) you will need to ask around on here for someone selling driveshafts, i wouldnt like to say how much they were new! I think Idrees has some Craig

    cambelt help

Just visually check it, you can tell if its old or not, it should be a nice deep black colour if its not old, check for any cracking or any signs of perishing. I would say its normally about 50k or every 5 years
  18. I am about to connect up my prosport dials too and have the same problem, just run the car to normal operating temps, take a note of the oil pressure and oil temp and use them as a base. Give the car a good booting down the motorway, say 100mph and take note of the readings, so you have a maxiumum and normal operating temps then and use those a guide. Mine is going to be used on track so i'll check for you too if you like rather than you speeding on the motorway lol
  19. Ok so i cleaned it all up earlier and did some testing, when revving it hard it turns out it looks like its leaking from the braided line, i seen oil running down the exit pipe not blowing past the exit pipeas originally thought. I think it must be the copper washers i used as they were not very big, does anyone have any copper washers spare that will fit the banjo bolt?
  20. I really do like this thread I can only imagine how mad the thing is going to be to drive, although a long way off would be great to see this at the car shows.
  21. Whoop the hot pipe off the turbo and see if there is a load of oil in there
  22. I'll have to put it up on the ramps take it off clean it up and try better clamps, nothing is ever straight forward with this car!
