I was at Llandow and this guy had one, it was pissing down and I was like fuck i got to get my self one of these lol, whats good too is i can work on my car now when its pissin down! -
Sorry meant to say 1 bar of boost(14.5psi), and about 12psi of fuel pressure if i remember correctly. bottom left is my RRFPR graph, you can see the pressure through the rev range. Mine starts up straight away on turn of the key though, it sounds like its bogging down with too much fuel pressure turn it down to just 4 threads protruding. Only problem this isnt going to be an exact science as the fuel pressure coming from your fuel pump could be different. I am running a Walbro fuel pump, what about you? Just do trial and error if its still running crap keep turning it in slowly until its

It seems its quite a common problem for them to have crap rear brakes, its supprising really as they are disc brakes so they should work well, i need to know a bench mark of what they should be. If anyone has a good hand brake post up!! Ah maybe thats why my mates non GT had an amazing hand brake, DRUMS!

Yeah i was skint when i bought my first one too, but once your past that it gets better not to mention you can work on fixing up the garage for the buggys home I bought mine about 17months ago and im looking to build a double garage with an annex ontop to house all my car stuff, looks brilliant but i need to get £20k from somewhere to build it ;)

Since i have had my EP82, i have always noticed that the rear pads are not wearing evenly on the discs, i.e there is a band of rust where the pad isnt touching the disc, tried replacing the pads but its still doing the same. How good is your handbrake, it is near impossible on mine to lock the rear wheels using the hand brake when i pull it up, can anyone else lock their rear wheels by quickly pulling the handbrake up, i just get a sluggish slow down. Any ideas how to fix, i adjusted the handbrake and its still crap. I remember going in my mates car but the non GT version of mine and his wou

Mine is setup for 1bar of fueling on on my sard RRFPR and i can count 4 and a bit threads sticking out of the top. Stick it to that and you should be safe to drive to rolling road at least Just try to stay off boost to be safe.

I'll go check mine for you now

I have got a TD04 which is from a 1996 WRX Scoobie, its the one with the 90 degree bend in it. Does anyone know what rated "G" this particular turbo is, im having a bit of trouble finding it. The original advert when i bought it said it was "9g" but this is clearly wrong, Thanks

Sounds like water getting into your pistons from the headgasket, what colour is the oil any signs of water residue, any cream under the oil cap? Is the car drinking any water, take all 4 plugs out and compare them, is there a particular cylinder plug which looks wet?
-
Jason got to say this is by far the best build thread ever! Keep up the good work, I always look forward to the updates and yes the house was a great idea, even if you are skint at the minute!!, congrats on buying it!

sweet Just to confirm it is a 19mm to 16mm reducer i need? Craig

My TD04 oil exit pipe is leaking to the sump, seems te TD04 pipe is much smaller so the original pipe isnt working. Where can i get one to replace this, obviously it needs to be thinner to fit the turbo and thicker to fit the sump! Suggestions Cheers Craig

Yeah thats what i thought to be honest, somthing isnt right somewhere although the guy did say the new roller system was giving lower readings than the previous one which was a bit of a pain in the ass. Its going back on the rollers next week to find out what. What tdo4 are you running, mine is just a stock TD04 are you using the TD04L? Yeah thats what i thought to be honest, somthing isnt right somewhere although the guy did say the new roller system was giving lower readings than the previous one which was a bit of a pain in the ass. Added dyno report to build thread and other details ok so just posted up the Dyno sheet for the TD04 performance, unfortnatly due the HKS actuator not having enough adjustment i only managed 142.8bhp on the dyno I have since would it up to a bar now and its turned into a bit of a monster, but i need to take it back to the dyno people at gotboost to finetune the fueling and ensure its dead on 1bar. Also Pedobear was supposed to make a show today, but hes been delayed -
Great to watch, that was hell of a slide, how come it let go so bad, tyres getting a bit slippy!!

Just paid for quite possibly the biggest pedo bear ever lol! its covering my entire roof ha ha -
Nice discs, good choice going for just grooved, the drilled ones tend to crack when they get really hot. I have got the same problem on my brakes at the minute, got about a 24% inbalance on the front brakes and i have noticed my brake pads have been wearing down at weird angles. I need to bleed my brakes, and greese the sliders on the calipers Let me know how you get on with your ebc yellow stuff pads, in my build i have reviewed the green ones, red ones and mintex 1144 pads, be nice to know what the yellow ones are like.

Just gapped the plugs to the toyota specs of 0.8mm and it now works a treat , they were more like 1.2mm! which i think is the standard spec out of the factory Problem solved!
-
I know this is an old post but i have the same problem, my car is now misfiring badly since i have cranked the boost up from 0.6bar to 1bar on the TD04. It only misfires on boost. Did you manage to fix this, was it the spark plug gap?
-
Yes the bracket is in my build thread, its like yours ct9 hks actuator which i drilled another hole in to make fit Seems to work quite well so far.
-
Yes i got this sorted, if the whole dial is flashing on and off all the time, it is because the dial is not picking up any sensors, for example the boost sensor, oil temp sender, oil pressure sensor etc, etc. It turned out on mine the wiring was screwed, the guy had ripped it out rather than taking it out so there wasnt a good conection. They are quite simple to setup if you need any help, if your looking at the back of the unit. Bottom right is the sensor plug Top right is the power top left is the daisy chain lead which goes into the top right (power) of the next dial bottom left is the o

Taken my car to the rolling road today with Gotboost and unfortunatly i had to take it home midway through as my HKS actuator ran out of play to make the rod shorter with the new bracket i had made to fit the TD04, we couldnt get any more than 0.6bar (I had to cut it at home!). I have since cut it and its boosting 1 bar now but based on the readings from the rolling road i think it will probably only be making around the 190-200bhp mark at 1 bar. Is this normal for a RRFPR setup, i guess its using the standard ECU map so an aftermarket ecu would no doubt give me an extra 10-15hp on top with a

I was trying to ring the guy yesterday to get it sorted on my roof, but i have been having a bit of trouble getting hold of him. Picture is so big it looks like its going to have to go sideways on the roof, but i guess this will be more funny as if your watching me on track you will get pedobear smiling at your as i zoom past ha ha.
